Is anyone watching Bringing Up Baby tonight or are we all a bit tired of being outraged?

I have only seen the first one so thought I might watch it, but is anyone else going to?

Why take the risk with knives? We don't need toddlers to cut up our courgettes.

Bonkers.

yogimum · 16/10/2007 21:42

yes wouldn't want ds weilding a knife.

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:42

Love the underlying theory that kids never hurt themselves, it's just the knife wielding hippies that are placing them in mortal danger.

Bloody waste of cheese and cucumber though.

Am i the only person who finds a room full of cc people actually quite scary?

pooka · 16/10/2007 21:43

But get Claire Verity talking about the worst case scenario, and having to take that into account, while happily completely disregarding the potential worst case results of babies being left alone in their own rooms and not being seen to at night.

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:43

Not as scary as the let's-get-pissed-and-shag brigade.

ruddynorah · 16/10/2007 21:43

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:44

It was a fine meal of, um, cheese and cucumber.

bunnyhunny · 16/10/2007 21:44

maybe just anyone who will sell the first 3 months of their baby's life so they can be on tv is scary then?

TheYoungVisiter · 16/10/2007 21:45

did anyone else go at voiceover "some experts believe babies shoudl sleep in their parents rooms until 6 months".

Surely that's, er, most experts...?

ruddynorah · 16/10/2007 21:45

and mushrooms.

covenhope · 16/10/2007 21:45

bunnyhunny no I'm with you on that. Very hippydrippy and not a good advert for the method

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:45

And more cheese.

OP posts:
auntyspanonherbroomstick · 16/10/2007 21:45

...and the odd bit of finger....

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:46

Cheesy chunks.

OP posts:
screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:46

Chunks of cheese.

Oh yes, TheYoungVisiter, but then they also allowed CV to dismiss the whole of the WHO on the basis of her hundreds of babies. Sigh.

glucose · 16/10/2007 21:46

Poohbah · 16/10/2007 21:48
