Is anyone watching Bringing Up Baby tonight or are we all a bit tired of being outraged?

I have only seen the first one so thought I might watch it, but is anyone else going to?

Rani is a shit dancer, no?

Poohbah · 16/10/2007 21:25

MSM, they are too traumatised too!

cleaninglady · 16/10/2007 21:26

was just thinking i hope the babies wake and ruin the party as well but then thought they will get ignored anyway even if its a perfectly legimate reason for waking (like loud drunken grown ups making noise)

auntyspanonherbroomstick · 16/10/2007 21:26

Doesn't happy parents = happy baby count for something?

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/10/2007 21:26

Wouldn't they just ignore them if they woke? They aren't allowed back in between 7 and 7 are they?

lomondgal · 16/10/2007 21:26

Do they want to forget that they have babies?????

prettybird · 16/10/2007 21:26

My ds, fully breastfed & well cuddled, was sleeping through from 8 till 7 at 6 months and he slept in the same room as us - so it is nothing to do with CV type routines. And we weren't a martyr to any routines.

If he did wake up (extremely rare), it was no big deal and he would quickly settle again.

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:26

Sooo touching a house that is so child-centred

hunkermunker · 16/10/2007 21:27

SS, I think Rani's scared of them, actually. Scared they'll do something unpredictable.

wheresthehamster · 16/10/2007 21:27

Don't let IT stop you having fun

I HATE that woman

screamsprout · 16/10/2007 21:27

Oh fab scared look from the male guest there.

I am such a sucker for a baby sleeping on its mum.

Am soooo broody (good job I'm pregnant then!!!)

covenhope · 16/10/2007 21:29

The look on Rani's friend's face being told no, you can't see them

cleaninglady · 16/10/2007 21:30

the editing on this is making me so like its a good thing that your children are so used to being ignored that you can shake the house with music and they wont bother you and thats a good thing

pooka · 16/10/2007 21:30

God what the hell is she like? "I've got my life back".

Load of crap. Thought it was rather poignant, the image of the babies in their room with the party noises downstairs. Seems so cold.

Do like the continuun concept. I really think that that couple are fantastic advertisements for the ethos.

Poohbah · 16/10/2007 21:30

30 people at a party, all pissed, and you are fine about your babies being upstairs alone and out of your sight? Anyone else have raised eyebrows?

these families must have been mad

Elizabetth · 16/10/2007 21:32

Yes, my eyebrows have been getting plenty of exercise tonight Poohbah. Why have kids if all you want to do is get pissed, shag and ignore your kid? Makes no sense to me.

AitchTwoOh · 16/10/2007 21:32

i LOVE the cc woman, alex. i want to marry her.
and yes, i think that rani is terrified of those babies, but i have a smidgeon of sympathy because i can kinda see the attraction of a routine for twins.

bunnyhunny · 16/10/2007 21:32

would she have heard them if they did wake up?
personally, I wouldn't have wanted a party when ds was that young. I found my priorities changed, and I didn't fancy being the only sober one at a party, so why should anyone else have fun . But I would have been SO paranoid he would have woken and I didn't hear..

auntyspanonherbroomstick · 16/10/2007 21:33

I'm sorry - how on earth can you IGNORE a sleeping child?

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/10/2007 21:34

Aitch and Cla-are up a tree, K I, K I, Aitch and Cla-are up a tree, K I S S I N G.

glucose · 16/10/2007 21:34

why would you take part in this programme?
i was just busy having a baby
phaps i am just dull
would rather cuddle a baby than go to a party

ruddynorah · 16/10/2007 21:34

no she wouldn't have heard them. she doesn't need to hear them. she must ignore them so better not to hear them. that is what cv drums into them.
