New ’un.

Whose turn on the storyline merry-go-round will it be this week?

She was the daughter of Zoe Tattersall (played by Joanne Frogatt of Downton Abbey fame) who was briefly Ashley Peacock’s girlfriend. Zoe originally gave Shannon up to the Mallets for adoption, but later snatched her back.

Oh yes I remember that! Did the mallets go on to have twins? I loved the mallets.

BenoneBeauty · 26/11/2020 23:13

Who were the Mallets? I remember Zoe but not those guys.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 26/11/2020 23:26

Gary ‘n’ Jude. Judy thought she couldn’t have a baby because of a botched abortion, so they adopted Zoe’s baby and passed her off as an ‘indiscretion’ of Gary’s. Judy later had a miracle pregnancy and had twins - before collapsing and dying nine months later after a blood clot. Gary married someone else and moved to Blackpool. Judy became Megan in Emmerdale.

Poor Judy. I remember when she realised she was pregnant.
Re. Shannon is that not the last time a baby/toddler died on the street ? It’s fairly heavy so a rare business so quite raw luck Leanne being involved both times

MrsSteveMcDonald · 27/11/2020 15:56

Obviously Steve is the sex god of Corrie but Peter is a bit of alright too. Adam and Imran do nothing for me.

Knittingnanny · 27/11/2020 16:01

I’ve always liked Peter........

Honeyroar · 27/11/2020 19:23

@eggandonion that’s a good point re nobody getting Covid. They could’ve done that as a storyline.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 27/11/2020 19:45

I think tonight is going to be hard viewing. I cry at adverts Sad

strugglingwithlife · 27/11/2020 19:48

This is going to be so sad Sad

Honeyroar · 27/11/2020 19:52

Who are the young couple with Jenny??

wizzbangfizz · 27/11/2020 19:53

I have had to switch it off I can't cope with this.

excelledyourself · 27/11/2020 19:53

Her stepdaughter from her ex

Smallsteps88 · 27/11/2020 19:55

I can’t believe they are having an episode where a family have to watch their baby die mixed with this absolute rot with Jenny and dodgy daisy, Tim and Alya. Truly awful.

Can they really not just let our attention stay with Leanne and Steve for this one night?

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 27/11/2020 19:56

That's what i thought @Smallsteps88
I wonder if they thought it would be less upsetting, but its just weird.

excelledyourself · 27/11/2020 19:56

I feel Oliver's death is now completely rushed Confused

strugglingwithlife · 27/11/2020 19:57

The stepdaughter looks familiar

Smallsteps88 · 27/11/2020 19:58

They’ve really done this very badly IMO

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 27/11/2020 19:59

They obviously read us saying not to drag it out til Christmas and rushed it through instead.

excelledyourself · 27/11/2020 19:59

The stepdaughter reminded me of Candice at first

Smallsteps88 · 27/11/2020 20:02

Stepdaughter is a bad actress. Her husband looks like a Conor Macgregor wannabe who’s gone overboard on the just for men.

Akire · 27/11/2020 20:03

They haven’t had Emma Amy night Simon say goodbye. I hope they don’t rush it tonight.

Who’s are the new people in the pub? Thought friends of Jenny?

Honeyroar · 27/11/2020 20:09

I think it might be too heavy having a whole episode of Leanne/Oliver etc. Although the Jenny plot line is too much the other way. Why have they turned Jenny into a fool?

Smallsteps88 · 27/11/2020 20:41

I wonder if Johnny and Jenny actors knew their scenes would be in the same episode as Oliver dying. I can’t imagine they would be happy seeing how it has been put together.

thenightsky · 27/11/2020 20:50

I'm hating the Johnny/Jenny scenes. So forced. He wouldn't be so vile to her, really.
