I've often felt that Maria has been wasted, and now they have married her to that awful Gary. How old is Little Liam?

I think Maria is stuck in a rut - she’s been a popular character, but they really don’t know what to do with her.

Liam seems to have been in it forever, but is still only about seven. Maybe he’ll grow a new teen heartthrob head in a couple of years.

The Marcus and Maria storyline was ridiculous. Surely She's not that irresistible wereby she can make a gay man become straight.

Liam would be a lovely looking child if we ever saw him.

Carla seems to fall into bed with a guy then quickly say 'it was a mistake', she did the same with Robert.

Can she not realise her mistake before they actually do the deed?

She's had all of the Barlow men now except for Ken and 17 Yr Simon.

I saw a news article about the new Summer. She is actually 22. I hate when they do that.

I thought she looked 20 at least hence stupid hence design make her look younger.

It doesn’t even make sense when the character is supposed to be 16 anyway. I can understand them casting a 16 year-old as a 13 year-old because of child labour laws, but surely there would be actresses available in the right age range for Summer where it wouldn’t be an issue?

What age is the character? 15? They did that with Bethany too.

I’m guessing they have a serious storyline planned for summer that a younger actress wouldn’t have been right for. The gave Sarah a new older head for the teen preg storyline and Bethany an older actress for the grooming storyline. I was expecting Aadi to have more of a storyline since the new headed him too. Maybe him and summer will involved somehow.

As I remember the first choice to play Bethany was sacked before filming began , because she had rather foolishly said she was younger than her real age. Something along the lines of Bethany being still at school, but the unfortunate actress was about twenty. Doesn't seem to have bothered them this time.

Carla has always been a bit strange but sleeping with her partner’s nephew and his half brother is very Jeremy Kyle. She and Tracey between them have had more than half the men in the street.

Carla is a mystery. I seem to remember she was addicted to alcohol and gambling at one point and then suddenly overnight she was fine and drinking in the Rovers etc. As well as sleeping with almost all of the Barlows there was Michelle's son (the real one), Nick, Robert..I think only Roy is safe.

And Steve, she has managed to resist Steve...so far! Mind you Tracey has slept with Nick and I am sure she slept with David as well a few years ago.

I thought Carla gave up drinking because she'd had a liver or kidney transplant or something.
