New ’un.

Whose turn on the storyline merry-go-round will it be this week?

He’s does! He’s lovely. But horrible last night to Carla!

Deadringer · 19/11/2020 17:05

I can understand MLM or the like targeting Gemma, but not Sean, he knows she is always skint, and not at all reliable.

Smallsteps88 · 19/11/2020 17:17

Yeah but he’s been sold the whole spiel about how it’s perfect for busy mums and how they can do it from home and sell to their mum friends so she is the perfect candidate.

eggandonion · 19/11/2020 17:39

Maybe she can flog it via her blog? Does it still exist? A sensible woman I know got sucked in to the aloe vera selling thing, does it still exist. It's scary how people are easily convinced.

nildesparandum · 19/11/2020 19:25

So Billy got the archdeacon's job after all did he?I have not watched for a bit that's why I asked. What a fairy tale.
I agree with a previous poster re Carla. I cannot stand her either.Carla the snarler she is well named.

Just saw this on a local Facebook page! I’m amazed they actually do research. It doesn’t show! Hope the new recruit is good.

I've known a few intelligent people with good jobs, requiring a degree, and are in their 30's so experience of life, still get sucked up in MLM's.

They don’t need a researcher. We will happily point out all their mistakes for free Grin
PoloNeckKnickers · 19/11/2020 20:48

What's happened to Ray's accent? It's like a Mancunian parody. I could've sworn he was a scouser when he first came into it Confused

eggandonion · 19/11/2020 21:40

We could do research, as a group activity. We have plenty of expertise.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 19/11/2020 22:30

I could've sworn he was a scouser when he first came into it

He was in Brookside years ago, so quite possibly.

OP posts:
woodhill · 19/11/2020 22:40

Who was he in Brookside, thought he looked vaguely familiar

Clawdy · 19/11/2020 22:45

He's actually from Birmingham.

Honeyroar · 19/11/2020 22:50

I thought his accent sounded scouse the other night.

The researcher might as well just use these threads

StillCoughingandLaughing · 19/11/2020 22:56

He ran Bar Brookie for a bit; he also went out with Rachel Jordache. I want to say his character was called Bruno?

OP posts:
Roussette · 20/11/2020 07:26

The producers are hoping one of us applies for that job quite obviously
Grin

eggandonion · 20/11/2020 08:05

I don't remember Bar Brookie. I loved Barry Grant, and Terry. It all went a bit confusing on Brookside.

StillCoughingandLaughing · 20/11/2020 08:50

It was the bar on the parade that Bev ended up running later on. I think it started out as the La Luz nightclub.

OP posts:
BabyLEphant · 20/11/2020 08:53

@Akire

Todd is evil isn’t he, goady Sean to get more sellers and dangling Paul. To be fair they would get more story lines out of running a halfway house.

Ray has some plan to put Hotel over Factory, Gails and Sally’s. We don’t know why this is such a brilliant plan yet. Seems silly as we all know they not going to flatten the set and build hotel.

Do you think the writers are planning to morph Corrie into some kind of revival of Crossroads by building this rumoured hotel? Grin TBH the quality of the storylines is similar these days Wink
AhoyMeFarties · 20/11/2020 10:35

I think that if they play it right the MLM could be a really good story line to go down, especially in these hard times. Show it for what it really is

Spidey66 · 20/11/2020 11:22

I thought Ray seemed familiar. I used to love Brookside, but towards the end the messed up the time schedule and I gave up trying to keep up with when it was on.

eggandonion · 20/11/2020 14:06

Bev was great. Maybe they could populate Corrie with people from Brookside. A few have been on, like Sinbad.
If I was a researcher, that would be my main suggestion.

ellenanora5 · 20/11/2020 18:25

I used to love Brookside, wanted to go to "casabevron" Grin

Remember they had that weird viral outbreak thing that affected the whole close and they were dropping like flies, that was very weird.

woodhill · 20/11/2020 19:19

Yes loved it and the leccy

Honeyroar · 20/11/2020 19:56

I’m amazed Summer and Tod recognise each other with their new faces!!
