I not sure if it's even a Gilkinson Special Voodoo - I thought I saw a male and female choreographer duo explaining the 'concept'. Admittedly I was passing through so there's a high chance Gilkinson's involved.
It's street-commercial. Aren't most of the pro dances street commercial/ fusion? I can't identify any discernable style lately.

Bill and Oti are doing a street-commercial couple's choice. Except it's also a fusion with some soul funk (?)

He's been waiting for about 15 years for this opportunity. I'm pretty sure the only reason he's still hanging around is so that he could be first to step into any judging void.

There haven't been any rules for at least five years now, in any of the dances! You can basically do anything in any dance whatsoever.

I would not be sorry to see Anton leave the show from a dancing point of view, but I must admit I'm really looking forward to seeing how he does at judging! I think he will be great!

I think they should lose Couple's Choice but keep Theatre/Jazz. It's the only one of the three styles that is worth watching: contempowaft is boring, street tends to come out as a mess, and in both cases couples tend to use them to depict a JOURNEY so no-one really dares to criticise much. On the other hand, Giovanni and Faye's Theatre/Jazz was just superb.

Giovanni & Faye’s jazz routine was phenomenal! I’d say it’s possibly the best dance there’s ever been on Strictly.

Contempowaft is total shite though: it’s always someone having a barefoot, angsty, breakdown with weird flexed foot kicks and grabbing at the air, whilst dressed in chiffon, to some turgid dirge that sounds like it was rejected from a John Lewis Christmas ad.

With you on both of those GrouchyKiwi. I wasn’t Team Danny but that AS was just beautiful, and Charles’ Street Commercial doesn’t get nearly as much love as it deserves.
