Usually if it's the pro who's ill the slab isn't out because they draft in another pro, but obviously that hasn't been possible this year.
I'm surprised that they didn't have a couple of pros on standby for a situation where the pro had had to self isolate.
You'd have thought they would have asked a male and female pro if they wanted to be on standby - some might not wanted to have had to isolate just on the off chance but there might be some who already live alone/have been furloughed from other jobs - the entertainment industry has been hit hard during these lockdowns- who were willing to be stand ins for any pros who had to withdraw.
I saw Anton sitting in the studio behind the other couples last week, so I wonder if we'll also see Luba there this week as well, if so then I wonder if they are still contracted for the entire series and have to continue to come to the studio, or if that will only apply to the pros who were in couples where the celeb is the one who is living alone (since they would have always been in their family bubble anyway)?
I also assume that is why Anton has been first port of call to cover Motsi's absence - if hes still involved in the Saturday night shows then they don't have to draft in a new person.
