Last thread here, but it was never going to last for tonight!

OP posts:

Thank you, KitchenDancefloor!
I wish his Nan would sort him out.

MartiniDry · 31/10/2020 22:04

YABVU, overreacting, and totally out of order if you're supportive of your DH "telling" his mother that she mustn't have a dog in her own home. How rude!

It should go without saying that an irrational attitude towards dogs does none of you any favours.

Ultimately, if you want to lay down the law regarding childcare, pay for it. Only then can you dictate or choose what and who comes into the person's home.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:04

The fear is that forced proximity of two young good-looking self-obsessed hotties will lead to Lack Of Social Distancing

And a lot of social disease?

What social disease do ringers get? The clap (per)? Boom boom!

I’m sure they are pristine by the way. Too busy grinning at themselves in mirrors to be getting something that requires antibiotics.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:06

I agree with you @MartiniDry

I fear you are on the wrong thread though. Wink

FuzzyPuffling · 31/10/2020 22:07

Quite right about the dogs, martinidry.

theliverpoolone · 31/10/2020 22:12

I would be surprised if Jacqui goes - however bad his partners are (remembering Judy Murray in particular!) Anton's fans usually manage to keep him in for a few weeks. Having said that, I've just remembered Susannah.......

Maireas · 31/10/2020 22:18

Ha ha 😂 😂 Sheldon that made me laugh so much!

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:20

Tess is slightly younger than me and admittedly looks grand.

I would, however, pay good money to have her wear sleeves.

One, because despite my job, I have bingo wings that could keeeeeeeeeep dancingggggg to the final with one wave now and I am jealous.

And two, I’m fed up of oxters being on display. Whether it be one or two.
Is she sponsored by Dove?

Just don’t go Victorian mutton sleevewise. That is all over Made In Chelsea at the moment and it is way too fussy.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:25

Oh my Christ.

Just google a quokka.

Want one. 😍

MoonJelly · 31/10/2020 22:28

Do we think there will be a Strictly exception for lockdown? Technically it's hardly essential work, but cancelling Strictly is liable to cause mass rioting, surely?

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:28

liverpoolone

You could be right there with the fan base. But if the beak and his charge stay in, who do you think should go?

I am not sure that anyone deserves to go over her sadly.

MoonJelly · 31/10/2020 22:29

You can always tell when Anton thinks he's in trouble, he puts his partner somewhere where she can do no harm and dances frantically round her to try to distract the judges. That tactic has come out early this year.

Lurleene · 31/10/2020 22:33

I had to watch with the subtitles on earlier. I hope it was a mistake or did one of the judges really tell Jamie that he danced an American Smooth like Freddie Starr? HmmSmile

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 22:38

Freddie Starr? Grin

That would explain the erratic movements in the pant area when he was wearing those Chelsea tan clingy joggers. Was he packing a hamster instead of eating it?

Lurleene · 31/10/2020 22:43

Oh my what an image

jambeforeclottedcream · 31/10/2020 22:49

Anyone else thinking they were going to dance to Shine by Take That not Years & Years

I thought it was going to be Shine by Aswad... love that track (just catching up)

Was Jacquie a Tory or Labour MP

BigBadVoodooHat · 31/10/2020 22:55

Well, Ed Balls going all out to support her is a bit of a clue Wink

Clawdy · 31/10/2020 22:57

Ranvir got my vote. I suspect Jacqui will be out, and probably Jamie the following week.

jambeforeclottedcream · 31/10/2020 23:09

@BigBadVoodooHat

Well, Ed Balls going all out to support her is a bit of a clue Wink
I did think that. But I thought it might be because MPs who do strictly together are in some sort of club/ committee
stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 23:25

They’ve maybe got confused when they took Ed in to big up Jacqui.

Gangnam is not ganhame .

Either that or they are going to get her going cowgirl on Anton next week like Ed did to Katya.

It gave Ruth a twinkle.

EvilRingahBitch · 31/10/2020 23:29

Strictly is a workplace, so everyone is fine to keep on working during lockdown. There is no rule that your job has to be essential, it can be as trivial as you like - as long as you’re being paid and it’s not specifically illegal (like restaurants) then you’re fine to carry on doing it. Obviously filming Strictly is totally essential though.

But I expect they’ll need to ditch the audience. Can you imagine how gutted you’d be if you'd scored one of the golden tickets in the draw for next week?

Ellmau · 31/10/2020 23:33

Jacqui is definitely headed for the exit.

I thought JJ was probably the weakest of the rest, but his story might get him votes. No one else was too bad.

It seemed unfair to have a couple's choice so early and cynical viewers might think it was to allow for overscoring and keeping the First! Ever! ss partnership safe from the first danceoff to avoid accusations of homophobia/racism.

I think anyone in the bottom half of the leaderboard is potentially at risk of being in the danceoff with Jacqui, so most likely someone with less of an existing fanbase. So could be JJ, but imo more likely to be Jason or Clara (unfairly imo, she was very good and undermarked), possibly Jamie.

SpanishFly · 31/10/2020 23:58

What was wrong with CQ tonight? She seemed down or flat or something. There was no spark in her, something seemed amiss.

kbx201 · 31/10/2020 23:59

Who is BVB?
