I totally agree about Luba. She always (to me) has a face on like she’s sooked the sting out of a wasp’s arse.

Yes, I think jason has potential and a great personality but Luba isn't that great.

I can't decide if it's because English isn't her first language or not - she speaks excellent English ( and more than Ukrainian Oksana who had years more experience?) but will still have Russian as her mother tongue. I know so did Pasha and Artem but maybe they had more years speaking it.
That said, I am sure that I liked her more when she was paired briefly with Shane Lynch. Cannot remember why, maybe her edit was more smiley. The only thing amusing me at the moment is Monkseal loving her indifference to it all.

Hilarious that anyone thought that
a) the animals were real. Unless - in a shock twist - it's the special effects bloke's missus, trying to big him up cos nobody wants his virtual tat anymore.

I really do like the microphones on footage - until they started releasing it last year or was it the year before - I had no idea many of the pros spoke throughout. Had never caught it unless really obvious coaching or they mentioned it (like Tony Beak telling Katie Derham to keep going in the VW).Some are mad ventriloquilists I swear!

I think the lighting and sets (especially the busy floors) have got so loud and over-the-top that they actually distract from the dancing.

There’s only a five person final if no-one in any of the bubbles (including families in some cases) tests positive. They all look quite robust, with the possible exception of JJ who is demonstrably pushing himself to the limit, so no particular reason why anyone should drop out for other reasons, but you can never predict these things.

Thinking back over reasons why people have dropped out mid-series we’ve got:
Family Bereavement
Mental Health (Will Young)
Cardiac issues (Tarbuck)
Injured themselves rehearsing (Jade, Will)
Had a lucrative cruise gig lined up (Sergeant)
I think that’s it?

As an aside Grouchy, I rewatched Little Shop of Horrors recently and made the connection between the Greek Chorus in that and the way Alan Menken uses them again (more obviously) in Hercules. I had completely forgotten or maybe never clocked before that he wrote the music for both. Hope they don't muck it around too much!

Gleb has form for this ~ I believe the reason they headed to the UK in the first place was for a fresh start after another of his 'dalliances'.

I’m probably in a minority but I loved Gleb on Strictly. He just got more camp and over the top as the series went on. And very easy on the eye.

Shame for his wife, especially as this isn’t the first time.
