Last thread here, but it was never going to last for tonight!

Pasha Menken must have been delighted when Disney announced they were making Hercules.

It's on tonight! Hooray. 7:25pm. I wish it were earlier, with so many Disney-themed dances. Then my children could watch with me.

iklboogeymum · 07/11/2020 13:30

Think we're going to need a new home for tonight!

ppeatfruit · 07/11/2020 13:37

BigBad Oh I couldn't agree more about the slime ball Glxb. He overdid the choreo\ ruined Anita's chances of winning, she called him a slave driver (and she's usually a nice person).

IMO he's a male version of me,me me, Katya. The pros should be sensitive about their partners. Not trying to win at any cost to them.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/11/2020 13:44

I'll do it now Iklboo Glitterball

I'll keep popping back to post the link though. There's quite a few messages left on this thread so I don't know if we'll run it out before the show tonight.

Thank you, Polkadots

ppeatfruit · 07/11/2020 14:03

Yes to save running out mid show Polka we do have 92 spaces left. Thanking you in advance! I'm not one of you young thangs who keeps one eye on my smart phone and the other on the telly!!!!

T'would drive me mad Grin

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 07/11/2020 15:39

Ooh thanks for the Gleb-cheating background peeps.

Autocorrect decided he was 'Glen' Grin

What a shame for his wife and children.

I know he completely dominated his and Anita's routines but I enjoyed his crazy choreography. He's talented and I thought Anita did brilliantly to keep up. I can well imagine he was a nightmare in the training room.
They should've been in the final imo.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 07/11/2020 15:42

I hope they do justice to the movie themes tonight and it's not an OTT cringe fest.

Who am I kidding Grin

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 07/11/2020 15:43

I reckon CGI characters are going to be the in thing this series in lieu of backing dancers Hmm Wink

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 07/11/2020 15:54

I think the first time they used CGI was when they did Disney pro dance. I think it's a bit distracting, but because it's cartoon-y it doesn't look quite as odd as the "augmented reality" stuff they're using now.

Not sorry, now we know about him cheating on his lovely wife - not that surprised either tbh, there was always something about him that screamed 'player' to me - but I also enjoyed Gleb's crazy choreography and liked the pairing with Anita...

Did he jump or was he pushed, do we know?
Is DWTS a more lucrative gig than SCD?

Ah I loved this one!
covetingthepreciousthings · 07/11/2020 17:14

Will they still go to Blackpool do we think?

iklboogeymum · 07/11/2020 17:21

No, no Blackpool this year sadly.

iklboogeymum · 07/11/2020 17:23

I can't type, watch and write my blog notes so I'll go 'dark' later. Grin

I hate the word "movie". It is "film".
QED

augustusglupe · 07/11/2020 20:00

FuzzyPuffling I know drives me mad, it's FILM

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/11/2020 01:35

Yes Film, I agree.
I argue with my daughter about this.
Also seasons/series and the latest I've noticed reruns/repeats.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/11/2020 09:58

Film

Definitely FILM

"Movie" is an unacceptable Americanism (like "gotten" )

@SchadenfreudePersonified movie is an American-ism but gotton isn't. It was standard English once upon a time (and lives in Forgotten, misbegotten etc). Brits used to say it and took it to America then we stopped and they didn't.
