Last thread here, but it was never going to last for tonight!

Allegedly Digital Spy does have a spoiler source today, against the odds.

They are the singing act tomorrow on results[/quote]
Ha ha at ‘they’

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 31/10/2020 21:11

@hopeishere

Nicola is being way over marked. She's ok but not worth three eights.
I just don't think that dance is comparable with the proper ballroom and Latin. I can't understand how dancing out of time (with each other and the music), with no need to worry about hold, or actual defined steps, can be worth the same as Bill's quickstep.

ilovesooty · 31/10/2020 21:11

Voted for Nicola and Bill.

Elderflower14 · 31/10/2020 21:12

2 votes for Bill, 1 vote for JJ.
I think it will be Jacqui and either BVB or Jason in the DO.

EvilRingahBitch · 31/10/2020 21:13

Couple’s choice is always shamelessly overmarked. It all evens out in the end, but them giving it to Nicole so early suggests that they’re possibly paranoid about her going out first - I can see why they would be very keen to avoid that.

SuperbGorgonzola · 31/10/2020 21:13

I voted 3 for Jacqui. I listen to her podcast and she seems so lovely.

Maireas · 31/10/2020 21:16

We also voted for Clara, she's definitely been undermarked. Shirley seems very keen on Caroline, so she'll be safe, ditto with Maisie and consonant boy. I was surprisingly charmed by Gio and Ranvir.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 31/10/2020 21:17

Yep, the early stages I don't vote for I want to win. I vote for the middling ones I want to see more of.

Max and Red

You might’ve been buzzing darling but Jay won’t be quaking in his boots. It wasn’t bad for a second dance but you’d a hard act to follow I think. And any Glee ringerisms have been suitably quelled.

I also think that the choreography could’ve been better. But buzzing for me? Not really. More bee than womanizer. (Not that I’ve got such an item)

Clara and Al

I quite liked that and to see that as a repeat dance with more dance behind them would be amazing. Unfortunate with the malfunction - but she coped well. And I thought she looked beautiful.

Bill and Oti

I ruddy loved the birds. And I adore Bill. My budgie used to have my lip off. I loved her.

Anyway. I wasn’t jazzed with the music but I loved the daunce. And love Bill. Lovely stuff. Joyous. Oti’s outfit wasn’t grand but she is gorgeous so can carry it. Loveitloveitloveit. Kiss him Shirl. I would. 😉. Who knew that strapping him to a cross would be such a bonus?

Yes I know QS is my favourite but I loved that. Did I say?

JJ and Ames

Did something go a bit wonk when they were on the podium? I might have been missing something. There was no danger, aggression, moody broodiness. The capeage was ok but I felt it was a gentle version and I showed more aggression getting the right boot off a woman in Next after she nicked it out of my sale basket. Again, maybe the dance wasn’t as well choreographed as it could’ve been.

I do like him though.

Biscuits and the quite frankly gorgeous Karen

It was a relief that I couldn’t see his veg. I’ve had a bit of a problem with him dancing in Pretty Pollys - but at least they aren’t american tan. I like his dance, he had moments of looking a bit ungainly but it wasn’t half bad. Like Max, I wish he’d shut his mouth and not leave his bottom jaw somewhere by his calves. He is a hole on mic but I’m liking him here. His mam is very young looking. I don’t think he will need to beg. And Karen’s frock would have been divine without the epaulettey fringes things.

Maisie and pgorky

Is there talk of a romance with the vowel thief? Do they go like the clappers? what with them being Ringahs and all

The dance was dingydingyringypealydongdingdong. An exceptional dancer said Craig. You say exceptional, I say well trained. Potato potattto.

Tone and Jacqui

Ah. Jesus.

She didn’t look useless. She looked bloody terrified. Motsi saw joy. I saw abject terror. Bloody cruel having the saaaawmbaaar.

The swing, feather and fountain distraction.

Bye. And that is a shame. Maybe biscuits could beg on their behalf.

Vowel thief and Janette

Attack the VW? Grrrr. Or should that have been Grrrrrrrringa?

Janette looked stunning.

Morsi said diamond in’t sky. More like a ruddy great bell in the belfry.

And ringing the nan bell.

I think I once changed a nappy the colour of that suit...

Ranvir and JoeV

I hated the song and the frock and she went wrong. But I think she has the ability to be fabulous. It is a pity it went a bit wrong today. But stay in as I think they could go far.

Kissy and Nicole

Ah. The couple choice was way too early. I admire the lass for what she has achieved. I do. But I felt nowt during that dance. Nowt.

Now I know I know nothing but I want to feel things. And I didn’t. It is as well she has a fab smile. It made up for the lack of mine.

Tess might have got goosebumps. I didn’t. My heart melted more when the parrot chewed Bill’s ear. 💓

CQ and Johannes

Love them. But something was wrong with it tonight. Something off with the arms in hold? Just me? I expected to be wowed and I felt flat. What a shame.

Shirl is right. Let go love. Lose yourself in the lovely Johannes. I love you two. C’mon.

Jase and lube

Was it a good dance? I’ve no idea. My eyeballs fried. Who the chuff thought that was a good colour?

Luba missed a trick there. Great song but no hips and stompiness do not a samba make. He has it in him.

Well I think he has. I can’t see it at the moment. I can’t see at all.

Ps I’ve fast forwarded everything but the dances bar a minute or two and a bit of the judges as I had to nip out. If a sob story has been put out there and I’ve missed it, I’m sorry.

But I’ve gone purist and just done the dances.

I’ll be fast forwarding through their ‘turn’ tomorrow. Nuff said. I have no need for fat thighs when I have me own. Ahem.

There. All done. X

PenguindreamsofDraco · 31/10/2020 21:21

I would give almost anything for Claudia or Tess to say 'they' and then start smirking.

Bill, Jason and CQ here. Although Clara's dance and Aljaz's arse did make me feel my feelings.

Voice0fReason · 31/10/2020 21:24

Bill and Caroline - they are the ones I want to see more of.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 21:24

You and me both penguin

You and me both.

stillsomewhatsheldonesque · 31/10/2020 21:25

Bill, Ranvir and Caroline votage.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/10/2020 21:28

Splendid ( and funny) summary still some. Well said!

Maireas · 31/10/2020 21:31

@stillsomewhatsheldonesque - good summary my friend, and soooo true about Nicola and Katya.
I'm not sure why Ed Balls appeared. I'm thinking they said to the Labour Party, anyone but Jezza.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/10/2020 21:41

Contemporowaft should have a week of its own and we can hear about everyone's struggle and life story, and meet most of their Mamz, Granz, Dogz and Kidz in one fell swoop.

It will be hell, but we can do it.

FuzzyPuffling · 31/10/2020 21:43

I would agree with that "Schady*, but only if we can have Kittenwarz to make it bearable. Or Quokkawarz

FiveFootTwoEyesOfBlue · 31/10/2020 21:44

Jezza and Jacqui to be out the same week? Grin

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 31/10/2020 21:44

jambeforeclottedcream

Anyone else thinking they were going to dance to Shine by Take That not Years & Years

I thought it was going to be Shine by Aswad... love that track (just catching up)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 31/10/2020 21:48

Maisie and pgorky
Is there talk of a romance with the vowel thief? Do they go like the clappers?

I read somewhere (Twitter probably) that they are practically being chaperoned to ensure no snogging. The fear is that forced proximity of two young good-looking self-obsessed hotties will lead to Lack Of Social Distancing.

KitchenDancefloor · 31/10/2020 21:48

@Maireas

PLEASE can we add 'consonant boy' to the list of thread nicknames alongside Pissy Gorka, BVB et al? Love it

@FuzzyPuffling

Ooooh!

I could get on board with Quokkawarz! (And Kittenwarz - who wouldn't love Kittenwarz?)

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 31/10/2020 21:54

bitheby
I wanted to vote for Jacqui as I don't want her to leave at the first vote but I'm hoping other people will...

Not a chance

SequinsandStiIettos · 31/10/2020 21:56

Rewatched them all. Bill won it this week for me by a garden mile. I have to hand it to Oti, she knows how to choreograph and then some.
My favourites this week were Bill, Maisie and Jason, (even though he was crap) because he beamed throughout the whole thing even when he didn't quite finish stirring the pot! Brenda's chuntering somewhere.
But I voted for Jason, Ranvir and BVB because they seemed less safe. It was a toss-up between Ranvir and Clara actually but as we all think Jacqui's going, it shouldn't make much difference all told.
Love, love, love your recap sheldonesque
