He had such a good chance this year. Ahh well, this is obviously the tournament he is never destined to win.

There’s always next year - although this year was theoretically his best chance.

Just saw the last game. Rafa wasn't moving well. If anyone was going to beat Rafa I'm glad it was Sascha. I think all his problems are making him throw himself into his tennis.

Jane At least it's not Djok, I suppose.

I hope Rafa is ok for London, I don't want Djok waltzing off with yet another title there as well. He had a bit of a blip last year. His smug face on the Tour Final final poster was enough to put me off my coffee when I saw it earlier. (Though to be honest, the only person smiling on the ATP poster is Rafa- the rest are all trying to look mean and moody/villainous).

Anyway- I am cheering myself up, by catching up on Extra slice, that I didn't end up watching last night .

Ferrer does seem to have been a good influence on him, court side, anyway. I wouldn't expect anything less of David, after Rafa, (and Delpo) he was probably one the nicest blokes on tour.

I hope Delpo is on the road to recovery- it would be so nice to see him back at some point.

This match hasn't been up to much, has it? I didn't see the semis but just tuned in for the final, but not finding it v exciting - unless it's just me?!

I was quite drained from watching/score watching Rafa yesterday and willing him to somehow turn it around.

I like Medvedev's shirt - the pattern reminds me of this duvet cover we used to have in the 80s
