One ex-girlfriend is pregnant and another one is accusing him of domestic abuse - apparently happened at last year's US Open. BBC ives a brief overview here but when I read her more detailed account, it sounds worryingly convincing. I could all too easily imagine him behaving as she describes.

DH has just said: you never get these stories about Federer, Nadal and Murray in all the years of them being high profile - what's going on with the Next Gen?

We both acknowledged Djokovic has a slightly less clean-cut reputation!

I was reading about Sascha. I was quite shocked, I must say (hoicks bosom). I think we are used to the Rafa/Roger/Andy generation - all of whom (even Djok) were with their partners for years before they even got married- and they aren't even the only ones. There was so little scandal around the big names (a hint that something may have been afoot with Djok maybe).

To be fair to some of the younger players, there are some who are married and have been with their partners years- despite being early 20s- Khachanov/Medvedev for example. Taylor Fritz married very young, and had a baby, but they recently split.

but the situation with Sascha is very strange- they split up in August(?) and she doesn't intend for him to be part of the child's life. I feel for the child in this case- it's not like the details of 'whose my daddy' aren't currently splashed across the tabloids. He does not come out of any of it very well.

I don't know what to make of these allegations being made when it's just been announced that Sascha is going to be a father. Why didn't she say something at the time?

Anyway on a cheerier note here's a photo of Herman the harvest mouse. I didn't realise that Wimbledon donated old tennis balls to give them a safe place to live.

Mama DD is ok, still a steep learning curve, we had the stoma nurse round yesterday, and are trying some new bags and things. DD is still not very comfortable with emptying things herself. We have a zoom call with school next week, to see about her going back at some point. Dh is very keen for this to be soon- but although I want that too (she is not doing any work at home, as she is always really tired from being up half the night) the practicalities of school are still huge (even finding uniform that fits comfortably/covers things and is discreet is proving tricky.

Have just settled down to watch Vienna. Must say, Kevin Anderson is looking healthier than he did in the US.He looked really unwell then (I know he is naturally quite gaunt though).

Why are they assuming Djok is below his best just because he is losing? Maybe he is just losing? Maybe Sonego is playing really well. Are they planning excuses already.
