Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

I can't believe they thought the new Todd was a suitable replacement. He looks quite a bit older and nothing like him, surely they could have found someone more similar!

People don't seem to notice massive weight loss, obvious pregnancy is disguised by handbags or 1970s maternity clothes, plastic surgery or suntans in winter aren't mentioned. So why would anyone notice Todd's new head?

No-one has mentioned Liz for ages. She pops to Spain occasionally to see Steve's twin whose name escapes me. I know the actress takes a break sometimes.

She used to go to Spain in RL. Because she was besties with Annie Kirkbride.

Deidre had a place over there where I go. I met her once (Deidre) because my closest friend's DH plays golf with Annie's DH. She was lovely and had the dirtiest laugh imaginable.

Speaking of Blanche has made me think of many characters that have left, is there anyone that springs to mind you'd want to come back? I was such a fan of the Sophie/Sian storyline and don't feel we've seen Sophie as happy since Sian was in it. I thought she was an amazing actress and have always wanted her to return

Alma. I loved Alma. I can’t remember what age I was when she died but I sobbed. I loved her relationships with Gail and Audrey.

DDs friend works in a big department store in Manchester, they get a lot of Corrie actors in there and many years ago I remember him saying that Anne Kirkbride was by far the nicest. I was so glad, I sensed she'd be lovely in RL.

augustus Yes she was. My best riend spent more time with her and her DH than me, my friend said she was actually quite quiet but on the evening I met her you couldn't miss that laugh.

I loved Alma too. She was a great actress. I do think they're trying to channel Evelyn into Blanche but not sure the quality of the writing is there, although the pub scene was amusing last week.

Perhaps they'll up their game after reading what we're putting here Grin

My friend lived near Toyah and she always said hello in the newsagents.
I'd like Keith Duffy to come back, I don't think he died.
We are kind here to each other, but can be nasty to Corrie people when they deserve it.
