Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

To the PP who said the dodgy chap after Gulper reminded them of someone - I think he's a mix of Shaun Ryder and Bez from the Happy Mondays.

The Shona haircut thing was just... I have no words!

I actually found it quite offensive. It was all treated as a joke because it was a man - they’d never have done that scene with a woman at the salon. Or at least not in the same ‘Oh well, it doesn’t matter because he was a bit poncey’ way.

Does anyone actually care about Billy's job plans within the clergy? I stick by my theory that he's not actually a Vicar (we've never seen him in a Church) and he just thinks he's one, and puts on a collar every morning

Yes, I think he was designed as an OTT parody to make viewers side with Shona.

I think they’ve made a mess of her return storyline. Handled properly, it could have been quite touching, but they’ve tried to play it for laughs too and it hasn’t worked. You’ve got to give them credit for trying something other than ‘off to nurse a sick relative’ for maternity leave, but it’s flopped.

What did Maria go to get the first aid box for? There was no blood!
The gulper 😂😂 why have they told him to do that all the time, it's ridiculous!

And the skulking around by Gulper's crim was just laughable. Trouble is, I'd had a couple of glasses of wine last night, and it made it even more ridiculous, and if Gulper runs up and down those stairs one more time, I think I'm going to scream!

Much of Corrie is a disaster at the moment. I'm still watching because there's so little else to do!

But that Ian Bartholomew song and video is brilliant - really strikes a cord. So glad that he has used a horrible character to highlight such a very real problem. Great way of separating the character from the actor too.

How long do we think until Gary & Maria get together again?

The whole Todd storyline is crap.

I watch it through habit, and because I see so few real life people now. It has been amazing that they have kept going, but it's really dire.
Where have all the dogs gone, taking dogs for walks is one of the few social events I have.

Maybe Billy will have a massive house with space for the Chesney family to go with him, the quads can stay there and Chesney can make guest appearances in the kebab shop. Or work in the unseen chip shop.

Devs wife lived in a lovely house when she left him for another man. Billy lived in a lovely vicarage, but the bishop said he had to be celibate to live in the lovely vicarage. Audrey's house is in a similar lovely street. I think you have to drive to it. Has Billy a car?

The Billy promotion is absolutely unbelievable unless he wants to be written out (yes please). He does nothing for his parish especially if he has time to look for Todd etc
