Old thread full, so here we go again.

Going back to the last point on the old thread, I agree that they’re writing well for Tracy now. She’s still got her hard side, but they’ve made her caring in a straight talking way, rather than just a full-on bitch.

If I were anyone going in that house i would just go upstairs!

Roussette · 16/10/2020 20:21

I must have had a few drinks because DH (who doesn't watch DH) is more up with what's going on than I am !

Roussette · 16/10/2020 20:22

Who doesn't watch Corrie I should say.

Hang on... whathisname is going to be a Bishop.

I must be pissed

Smallsteps88 · 16/10/2020 20:34

They're not looking very hard for Todd, are they? No sooner are they out the door than he's halfway down the stairs.

I’m pissing myself laughing each time someone leaves. He comes down before the door is even closed!

excelledyourself · 16/10/2020 20:44

Yes, it's ridiculous! Like when Gary could hear Mick from outside the house, then it shot back inside and his voice was barely raised. Or when two characters need to "have a word" and they shuffle two steps to left of the third person and continue to speak at normal volume

Mollypolly2610 · 16/10/2020 20:54

That was an awful hour. So Eileen tells super cop that Gary is back to his old ways and he apologizes and leaves!

Redglitter · 16/10/2020 22:09

Thats it I've watched my last episode.

Rays up to God knows what
Scott's trying to get Johnny involved in a robbery
Todd's on the run
Gary is being Gary

Its got beyond ridiculous now - I'm out

Roussette · 16/10/2020 22:10

Red Just join us on the threads to have a laugh!

eddiemairswife · 16/10/2020 22:14

After each episode I ask myself, "Why am I still watching?"

Honeyroar · 16/10/2020 22:24

Because we live in hope of the one good storyline being picked up (Geoff/Yasmeen). That’s probably why they have dragged it out for so long- they know there will be a viewer exodus once it’s done!

woodhill · 16/10/2020 22:24

And Craig is always conveniently there.

Has Eileen got a loft room now?

I wanted to slap Shona, so annoying

JamieLeeCurtains · 16/10/2020 22:37

When Craig turned up we just laughed.

And archdeacon Billy, yeah right. Maybe he can exorcise the Corrie writers' office.

Redglitter · 16/10/2020 22:43

Its ridiculous how Craig deals with everything. At my work cops never cover the area they live in and if by some fluke they get sent to a call involving someone they know they always ask for someone else to take the call in their place

nildesparandum · 16/10/2020 22:56

So silly Billy is going to be an archdeacon now?.This can only get worse.
I don't know what an archdeacon does, and I don't think the writers do either. If Billy is an example of a vicar then it must be one of the easiest jobs in the world,.If an archdeacon is promotion ,and as he gleefully told Paul, more money , then he will be doing even less.He will be Archbishop of Canterbury next.
But after all it is only a soap opera, so anything goes.

Smallsteps88 · 16/10/2020 23:08

Was anyone else waiting with baited breath to hear that billy was being sent to a parish far far away? So disappointed. Or maybe there is still hope?

Smudgeis13 · 16/10/2020 23:15

I am on the verge of giving up after watching for 50 years. Tonight there wasn’t a single believable storyline. I much prefer Classic Corrie. We can see how the scripts have gone downhill.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 16/10/2020 23:34

I wonder if the job of Archdeacon comes with a new bag?

Is a Billybag like a portable Billy Bookcase?

New gangster man (I care so little about him I don't know his name) looks like Fagin from Oliver.

Thegenderbreadperson · 16/10/2020 23:37

Shona gets the fast forward treatment here.... along with the Aggie family and gurning Gemma and her implausible quads. Soon I will be able to watch it in five minutes, if not less.

eggandonion · 16/10/2020 23:41

I hope the bishop will be ok about Paul. Or will Billy need an emergency pretend wife?

PennyRoyal · 17/10/2020 00:17

@woodhill
"Has Eileen got a loft room now?"

Is Eileen's house where Curly & Raquel lived? Is so, I think Curly built an observatory room in the loft space!

(Bloody ridiculous hour tonight)

Redglitter · 17/10/2020 02:51

Whatever happened to the vicarage Billy had originally.

Ilovelife321 · 17/10/2020 04:29

Honest question,
How do you become a script writer?

Ilovelife321 · 17/10/2020 04:52

I can’t understand how they are supposed to be serving food from the little back kitchen.

Whenever someone needs a ‘quiet word’ why do they go in the room next to the busy kitchen...... which you need to walk through to get back into the pub .

Ritascornershop · 17/10/2020 05:48

Just watched the Ian Bartholomew video on page 16. Well done him, it was really moving. “Wasn’t I weak, wasn’t I strong”. That hit home, brought back a lot of painful stuff for me. Good on him for doing that.

RAOK · 17/10/2020 06:14

Friday’s episode was indeed beyond awful! All of the pandemic references seem ridiculously contrived to me. There is no way Craig would be dealing with any of the issues on his street. The Shona haircut thing was just... I have no words! I only watch it for Yasmeen and Geoff.
