It started pissing down while the roof was being closed Private so they had to bring on more clay.

Djok (who is obviously going to win this) will meet Khachanoc in the next round. So, in theory, the first 'proper' test he will have faced, insofar as Karen is a recent top 10 player- who beat him once (though it was 2018, the year Djok was injured. Or something.).

Considering the first set was 6-0, it's not bad going that Galan has kept him out there over 2 hours- his previous matches were around and hour and a half.

I'm not sticking around to listen to Djok tell us how great he is.

Hopefully Garbine will be moved to Chatrier now.

I'm much more of a lurker than a poster but just wanted to say hi and how much I enjoy reading these tennis threads. I adore Rafa and can't stand Djokovic so I feel that I have found my people!

Tsk. Jim has not done his home work. Rafa lost -4 in 2 sets in his opening match. (Nothing wrong with that- it was his 4th match since about February.

Was Muguruza's match suspended then? Yes it would make sense to move it over. They've done well keeping everything on schedule (cos of the roof, to be fair).

At least Khachanov should give Djok a good test, well hopefully anyway. The Rafa section of the draw is much more interesting (aka tougher).

Private I will grudgingly concede that that the roof has allowed them to be up date with matches. This (Muguruza) one is the only outstanding one they have.

I still don't like the roof. .

Tbh I think I find the grey seats worse, they're a bit drab looking. Not sure what AC would make of them.

But yes the roof has definitely served a purpose especially with the awful weather.
