I'm missing the tennis too. It suddenly seems a very long time until the spring. We have just gone into tier 2 here, because of my/my youngest's health issues we haven't been anywhere but the drs and hospital really since March, and this very much feels like a step backwards.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Sorry to hear about the Tier 2 mama.

I'm really missing RG and all our chats. Somehow I managed to see no tennis this week despite thinking "I should have a look on you tube" basically every day - just never quite managed it

I think it's Cologne this coming week?? (Is it?!) - although I just saw Andy is injured and won't play.

Morning everyone.
Spent yesterday in bed with a migraine- it had been building for a couple of days. I think there is too much going on for my brain to handle.

Mama the current situation is rubbish. We're in Manchester, where they are still debating going into tier 3. That will be rubbish if they do.

Dd2 has her moments. Everyday something else happens to worry her, but it is very early days.

I'm missing the tennis. I see Rublev won in St Petersburg. He is doing really well at the moment.

We are now watching 'Arthur Christmas '. Best way to recover.

Oh, it is Rafa's wedding anniversary. That has gone quickly! Bet he never expected to be winning RG the week before it.

Private I feel a bit better now.

Annoyingly, I am getting no more sleep at home, than I got at the hospital. Thanks to an annoying gdog and snoring husband. I'm not sure how much longer I can put up with this, tbh. I'm dead on my feet.

Dd2 is contemplating what Christmas film we will watch this morning .

Hope you are feeling better Raahh - enjoy the Christmas films - lack of sleep is rubbish. I’ve got a Fitbit that tells me I get 8 hours sleep a night but I don’t believe it at all!

I darent even think about Christmas this year although one bonus is that it’s unlikely I’ll be cooking for 12 people this time

Looks like Manchester are going into tier 3 very soon.

I am still not entirely sure what that actually means - since DD1 appears to still be able to trot off to school, and wander about on public transport to get home. Or maybe that will change.

Year 11, who have only just gone back- are off again.

There’s the possibility that we will also go into Tier 3 soon - I think they’re trying to keep schools open if they can but it does all seem a bit mad.

Thanks Mama the weekend was better because I had some GAA games to watch on telly which calmed me down for a while!

We're back in lockdown from Thursday but with school this time so sick of it all. It's pissing rain as well just to cheer the country up. And breathe...

Good wins for Cam and Dan earlier. Saw the end of Dan's match but that's all. They're playing doubles together shortly, I think.

DS has his driving theory test tomorrow, so fingers crossed! He can't book the actual driving test until he passes the theory and, barring finding a cancellation, there is about a 3month waiting list
He insisted he take me out for a drive this morning. First time for me because DH has always gone out with him.

I’ve just seen that Rafa is going to play in the Paris Open so that’s some good news at least. I didn’t really expect him to play any more this year so that’s a bonus!

Apparently there are 3 Cologne tournaments (sort of one after the other I think?) which seems a bit odd but probably quite normal in these strange times

I need the tennis now to distract me from all this rubbish.
I saw that Rafa was playing in Paris- I was surprised too- he did reasonably well last year (it's a tournament he has never won, or come close to really). At least Djok can't gain anything from playing, since he won last year.

Oh that's good about Rafa, I'd thought he might just wrap up his season after RG. Looking forward to seeing him in Paris.

I also need tennis to cheer me up atm. Fizzy that's so strange about Cologne isn't it - I think Mahut was/is somehow playing in two of the tournaments! Or was it PHH?! I've just looked it up and can't find anything about either of them though!

To go back to one of your earlier posts Raahh, I really hope Rublev qualifies for the WTFs (presuming that goes ahead??), he's done really well this year.

Private I think i read that Rublev (along with Djok, but we will gloss over that) is now the only player to have won 4 tournaments this year.
So, it would definitely be a good thing if he qualified for London. He's not far off the cut off, Schwartzman is the next in line, then Berrettini.

I am going to cheer myself up with Bake off. If I manage to stay awake!

So, I am watching Antwerp- Raonic is playing Norrie- Milos is still sporting the big Wrick-it Ralph hair do and too short, shorts. It's almost as if he has forgotten how tall he is, and keeps ordering the wrong length. .

The stands are empty. And 2 whole minutes into watching - my Prime froze!

Oh- and DD1 is now home isolating. We found out yesterday at 4pm. She only has another day before the half term holiday, so if she has to isolate through all of that, she will be unimpressed

The upside- she missed an English test, that I have a suspicion she wasn't very prepared for. . (And the books I have ordered and paid for were due to be given out at the end of this week!).

Got a new phone because my (very) old one was dead on it's feet I know the feeling and it's a nightmare trying to work out how to use it half the time, especially as I'm a technophobe anyway For some reason, I have to keep logging back into MN every time I use it, which I didn't on my old phone, and I don't know why
Also, all my commonly used words and phrases are obviously not on my new phone, so when I type 'the delectable' it doesn't automatically type 'Stefan'

kazza fingers crossed for your ds. My (first) driving test was December 23rd. I remember praying for snow.

Dd has been told she is a 'close' contact and must isolate until November 3rd.

She's not overly bothered really. I'm starting to think the whole thing is a bit of a farce.

Private Apart from the fact it barely worked anymore, I would love to go back to my old phone. At least the little I did know about how to use it, I understood (if you get what I mean ) Now, I barely know how to use the new one and I understand it even less. I know I don't like change but frankly, some of the functionality is not half as easy or useful as my old one! All in the name of progress
DS and DH have banned me from going back to my old phone though

Sorry to hear about your DD having to isolate Raahh - it is all a bit of a farce. We also move into Tier 3 on Saturday so can’t really see anyone out of our household but we can still go to work, college etc

I’ve booked to go to a National Trust property on Sunday - it’s not far from us but in Tier 2 - hopefully we won’t get turned away at the gates! It’s all a bit confusing

I didn’t manage to see Wreck it Raonic - wish he would buy some shorts that fit him!

I saw a clip of the tournament dog in Cologne. It went on court to 'interview' Zverev yesterday. Very cute.
