I quite like Elizabeth too, underneath it all. I actually think she is perhaps genuinely looking for love. I wouldn’t group her with the awful Jessika/Ines/other blonde only on it for Instagram lot.

Wow, Cyrell is so aggressive! She gets away with it because she’s tiny and female but if someone was shouting and swearing and pointing at me like that I would be really upset and intimidated.

MissMarplesHandbag · 04/10/2020 23:40

Thanks @Verdita73
I did wonder if you meant the Aus one.
If the UK producers have seen the Aussie ones then let’s hope they haven’t also just selected a load of Insta wannabes.

MissMarplesHandbag · 04/10/2020 23:41

Yes @Egghead68 I agree re Elizabeth. She was completely shafted with Sam wasn’t she. I haven’t googled anything, but I hope she had a happy outcome post MAFS.

Colouringaddict · 05/10/2020 05:22

Watched them all now, some redeemed themselves, some actually behaved far worse than I thought.

Was good to see the karma bus run a couple of people over. Wiped the smugness off some faces, that’s for sure.

Can’t wait for the british series now!

Egghead68 · 05/10/2020 12:30

@MissMarplesHandbag I haven’t googled her but know and I think you’d be happy.

So one of the contestants had done a NP John and come back for season 7 😱

MissMarplesHandbag · 05/10/2020 13:00

Oooh I’ll look forward to finding out @Egghead68!

Colouringaddict · 05/10/2020 13:24

One of the couples became parents yesterday, I won’t spoil it and say which pair though

BloggersBlog · 05/10/2020 15:04

Can't help show the picture of the baby sorry. Didn't want to be a spoiler but it's definitely got Ines' look and Sam's physique

I finished the series yesterday. It was a corker of a final episode, thought I would have liked to see how everyone was getting on and not just the final few. Lovely comeuppances, lovely moments. One huge disappointment. I’ll admit I actually cried at one moment this series (which is so not me).

WitchesNStuff · 05/10/2020 18:00

Rinder - I did too, I am intrigued what moment it was that made you cry, , I actually cried at 2 different moments at the end. I didn't expect to feel emotional at all, must have been having a week moment haha!

WitchesNStuff · 05/10/2020 18:00

*weak not week

MissMarplesHandbag · 05/10/2020 20:23

Like others I’ve left it alone for a bit. Will pick it up again. Maybe tomorrow before the U.K. version.

MissMarplesHandbag · 05/10/2020 20:24

You two have me intrigued though.... !

WitchesNStuff · 05/10/2020 20:42

Grin I just had to finish watching as needed to know what happened. There were some good bits at the end, I also couldn't bring myself to Google till I had watched it all. In the final vows I had a few tears then with one couple during the last interview on the couch I was really overwhelmed. Not sure what came over me but I just felt they were so genuine it really got to me.

Egghead68 · 06/10/2020 00:12

Just finished. Oh dear, that was a bit emotional. Great last couple of episodes.

It was wasn't it Egghead, I was so surprised! Some genuine stuff there i felt!

Egghead68 · 06/10/2020 10:50

Yes. And I changed my mind a bit about one or two people.

After the seeming fakeness of some of the series it was a complete breath of fresh air to have almost everyone talking seemingly so openly and honestly - even those you would least expect.

Totally agree.

Ooh! I wonder if it was at the same bit. It completely surprised me at the time. And yes sniffled a bit at a similar bit in the final episode. I want to hint, but don’t want to put any spoilers!

Absolutely. I have had to change my mind a lot this series. There was some real growth there for some and a nice feeling of closure for others.

The producers need to do more than just aim for that final episode being all lies and intrigue though. It feels like the ixperts have no real power at all. I can almost hear the questions they’ve each been asked, and the egging on tone of the asker, every time they share their thoughts alone.

RinderTinderNotRinderGrinder · 06/10/2020 14:56

I was interviewed by a daily mail journalist once (I didn’t say anything interesting enough so they didn’t use it), and I suspect it’s a bit like that, “so, do you feel like completely betrayed and like you came here for love and that you deserve that so will find it with whatchamacallit’s husband instead?!”

MissMarplesHandbag · 06/10/2020 15:11

Right, do we need to set up a thread for the U.K. version tonight?
