Wow. Fridays night and the death And murder of Chantelle 😢😢

That was moving and horrendous to watch while gray plans his alibi of her death With

In some ways she will silly to taunt him. And she should have left a message on Khareet phone instead of ringing it lots when went to ansa machine

She should have said she was leaving gray. She loved Khareet and last message was a ploy As gray found out

Then gray will be done for murder

All the other plot lines form previous thread have been sorted

Nice to have ee back after the break

I don’t understand the coroners verdict at all. She absolutely will have had bruising to her stomach from him punching her. She was alive for several hours after she was punched so bruising will have formed to some extent. Certainly enough for a coroner, whose job it is to look for exactly that, to spot it. Let alone the historical injuries. I don’t understand why the writers have done that.

SpanishFly · 10/10/2020 14:04

Has anyone tweeted or contacted women's aid for their views?

Emeraldshamrock · 10/10/2020 15:20

Me too, no investigation into their marriage her previous injuries. When I heard the detective I eye rolled typical Eastenders starts with a decent storyline that drags out as an unrealistic load of crap.
Like Leo in the attic.
I'm not sure I want to waste another 22 mins of my life watching it. Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/10/2020 15:21

Def agree stomach will show bruising so why wasn’t this noted

It’s sad the way her death and after has been portrayed. After all the hype if that’s the right word about when we found out gray was abusing her

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 10/10/2020 17:11

Is it possible the knife wound hid the bruising? I imagine there would have been more damage associated with that, having come through from the back.

Akire · 10/10/2020 17:14

Laughed so much at Shitney Grin Are the jury on a video link? Justice is up in the air Shitney has loads police reports and stalking claims. The police have him living in attic. Yet after an accident/ self defence she’s going plead guilty? Meanwhile loads of Chantel evidence just ignored! What if she gets cremated and then nothing to prove it. If your a women experiencing DV you are screwed every which way. Sort it out EE!

They could have brought back any number of Miks kids without inventing a brand new one.

Is it just me or does anyone find Stacey and Kats cat calling and aggression far to 1990s? It’s not ground breaking hard women acting on it’s just annoying and gobby. Don’t blame Kush for gambling he lives with far to many ex GF extended family and kids.

Mrsjayy · 10/10/2020 17:15

well yes she fell and was stabbed not that I have any clue about forensics but I think the fall would have "explained " bruises, its a slow burner but I don't think he will get away with it.

SoupDragon · 10/10/2020 17:24

If they weren't looking for signs of assault, they might have been missed. From my in-depth forensic knowledge gained from Silent
Witness, they often miss things until something makes them look differently 😂

Mrsjayy · 10/10/2020 17:28

I've been watching the corner on Alibi so I'm clearly well qualified Grin

SpanishFly · 10/10/2020 17:38

I agree re missing something they weren't looking for, but she had arranged to go to a shelter, she had told Hubba Hubba that she was leaving Grey, the nurse when she broke her wrist was suspicious - do they not put 2 and 2 together and realise they should be looking for bruising and previous injuries?

Also, SOCO would have known that she didn't fall after standing on the toy ambulance - there would have been some obvious (to them) signs that it wasn't an accident. Even the time of death compared to when she phoned whatshisname and Grey's 999 call. Witnesses saw Grey wandering around buying milk etc. Why were questions not asked?
I would have thought a domestic accident resulting in death isn't commonplace compared to a spouse killing them. Isn't DV the first thing that they suspect?

SoupDragon · 10/10/2020 17:43

They wouldn't know about the shelter though, no one knew about that. The shelter would not know what had happened to her either as all they had was the burner phone number. Would they have looked at her medical records? No one at all suspects Grey of being an abuser - they all think he is wonderful. Mitch was nearly there but I think he's been out off the track. She didn't tell Kheerat why she was leaving.

SoupDragon · 10/10/2020 17:44

Thinking about it, EE have actually done a good job of showing how easy it is for these things to go undiscovered.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/10/2020 17:45

I know gray will be caught eventually I thought they'd wrap it up quicker.
I'd miss these threads if I gave it up.
@Akire Great summary. 😅

SpanishFly · 10/10/2020 17:54

@SoupDragon hmm, I'm not sure, tho. Mitch and Kheerat both suspect Grey and give him the side eye a LOT.
But surely a coroner is supposed to look for everything that isn't consistent with an average young female? I thought they would see the medical records, but you're probably right. Which seems odd in a way, given that it could have the final pieces of the puzzle

Akire · 10/10/2020 18:41

You think given the family knew they had to travel back because of the alarm they would want check no one else was in the house? They didn’t talk to anyone in the pub to see his state of mind. They didn’t ask family if hot chocolate was her routine or if there was any in the house. They not asked kids if heard anything or wonder why she didn’t try to make any noise or throw anything out of the dishwasher to wake up the kids.

Did they even ask Kheete anything? Or about the baby box?? Did anyone notice no wedding ring because she sold it? Didn’t notice two glasses of water for bed. No ones checked phone records and divorce lawyers number. No clues here!

Smallsteps88 · 10/10/2020 19:11

If they weren't looking for signs of assault, they might have been missed.

Ahh but gray had already accused Kheerat of attacking her and told this to the police so they should have been looking for signs of assault.

SpanishFly · 11/10/2020 09:17

@Akire good point re an intruder.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/10/2020 20:55

Plus surely sulu can’t ask for £500 extra

And will kush get i to gambling Addiction

OP posts:
KANNET · 11/10/2020 22:51

And kush is a terrible poker player. Who goes all in with those cards. At least try and be realistic

Mrsjayy · 12/10/2020 17:40

Watched Fridays this after noon bless Habs and her free the Jaguar sign Ash couldn't stand her family before so why is she ok with this? I can't even be arsed talking about Mick and his panic attacks they are just annoying!

iknowimcoming · 12/10/2020 17:49

Dd was home for a weekend and watched fridays episode and said what the hell happened to this programme? I just shook my head, the online gambling the moody court room scenes, the mick stuff it's all just dire and frankly embarrassing atm

Mrsjayy · 12/10/2020 17:53

It is embarrassing you are right ! I don't watch any other soaps they can't be this bad !

Meredusoleil · 12/10/2020 18:29

I think it's because she knows she would have to potentially sacrifice both Vinny and her mum if she spills the beans on Jags 🤔

Mrsjayy · 12/10/2020 18:35

Poor Jags Sad

excelledyourself · 12/10/2020 18:59

But that would be the right thing to do. Vinny did do it and the mum's a witch they're all better off without anyway! She'd be doing Walford a favour, not just Jags.
