He reminds me of a very old boyfriend I absolutely adored and who did that trick of kind of stonewalling and agreeing, rather than facing up to disagreeing or putting a different case across. After a while, it is utterly wearing and you start to question whether you're right or crazy!

My ex was a bit like this when he decided to wander off into the sunset with the new “love of his life” - leaving the children and me behind . I tried and tried to get out of him the reason why but he just refused to give any answers whatsoever . He wouldn’t engage in any discussion let alone letting a row develop . It was infuriating to say the least .

So I agree with you that Justin should have put more effort into the marriage as it was his choice to enter the experiment . But I see only too clearly that you can’t force love/attraction - even if it appeared to be there in the first place .

Maybe that’s why he is so disliked - too many people feel that they’re looking into a mirror and seeing a reflection of their own lives .
