By all means, forgive. Learn from the experience . Resist the temptation to cut the brake cables on his car. Put the whole sorry carry-on behind you and get on with your life with someone worth loving.

But DON"T go straight back into the same old round of cheating and lies. DON'T set yourself up to be knocked down again. DON'T allow him, or anyone else, to use and abuse you like this - it will destroy.

Forgiving isn't forgetting. It's stepping back from revenge (which just gives them space in your head!) and taking away their power to hurt you again. It's using the experience to learn valuable lesson.

You can't force someone else to change - but you can change your behaviour, so that they can't continue with theirs.
