I discovered by accident last night that Sean (who? Err yeah that one with Blair who was barely featured) has written a revealing book about his time on the show. May contain spoilers if you Google it but I thought it sounded interesting...

How does the “just woken up” filming work, do people think? Does a camera crew knock on the door or barge their way in at dawn, or do they have a remotely operated camera which they switch on at 7am and hope everyone’s decent? I’d love to know.

I think Ashley has a nasty side to her. She demands Troy the Tuna gets a radical hair cut, but do we ever see her without a heavy layer of slap?

T the T is enthusiastic about things - she is continually disparaging.

She makes snidey personal comments about him all the time- to him and to others and in the hearing of others.

The hair cut thing was the only time I disliked Ashley. It was such an odd request. I can't imagine she'd cut her hair for him, nor should she.

I downloaded Sean’s book and have skimmed through it - mainly looking for MAFS references. There isn’t very much about the series but what there is is interesting in shedding a light on how fake it all is. There are also some spoilers that have made me very eager to see the the rest of the series. It’s mainly a self help book of the “the universe will provide’ type with a lot of pop psychology references. He thinks he is now a sorted and contented person but to me he is clearly a unsettled and unhappy man.

Me too. Having clicked on the link of addiction, I’ve now watched series 6 and 7 as well. It’s definitely more soap opera than reality TV.

To all members of the Troy fan club - he was in my dream last night! He was working on my Dad's market stall (which my dad gave up in 2005) and he was rapping to get customers. I my dream I said "he's much better looking in real life".

I need a second Troy badge for my DH. He's not actually watching, he says, but uncannily he seems to know everything that's happening. He doesn't like Ashley and thinks that Troy is actually quite unsure of himself and gets embarrassed about stuff.
