All that unfinished woodwork etc. in the Aggie house is very irritating. The dad is a builder and presumably had a bit of time on his hands during lockdown so surely he’d have got it finished.
These little things are annoying me cos I’ve pretty much lost interest in all the storylines, such as they are.

Keeping2ChevronsApart · 29/09/2020 07:33

I thought the footballer son was a bad actor with those eyes but that Grace one is terrible!!

AltheaThoon · 29/09/2020 08:16

The problem is that I don't think anyone is invested in the Aggie family so no one cares whether Grace moves to Spain with the child or not. In fact, I hope she does. She's always behaved horribly and the woman who plays her is a terrible actress.

MsMiaWallace · 29/09/2020 08:28

I'm losing faith with Corrie. What's happened to the writing?

Best part of last night was Adam referring to Geoff as a gargoyle!

Roussette · 29/09/2020 08:32

Trouble is... I have nothing to compare to because I've never liked 'Stenders.
I know they've gone back to episodes, is the acting any better or are all soaps employing interns to write their stuff?!

The only interesting storyling is Geoff, maybe that means he's a better actor than all of them, or maybe we just want an outcome! Shame they've latched Daniel onto the only decent storyline there is...

Housewife2010 · 29/09/2020 08:46

There are some excellent actors in Coronation Street e.g. Peter, Geoff, Sally, Tim or David. The Aggie family though are all atrocious. They can't make their storylines work because we don't care about them. The scripts need serious pruning too and it needs to return to three episodes until the full cast can return. There is far too much filler or "comedy". Coronation Street can be excellent with humour but it is seriously failing with its humorous attempts at the moment. Also, either cure Shona or send her to Spain, that London or anywhere in a taxi with half an episode's warning and a single bag.

AltheaThoon · 29/09/2020 08:53

Oh yes, I'm so fed up with Shona. They'd better now allow her and David to resume a sexual relationship before she's 100% better because having sex with her now would be morally dubious if not completely illegal.

Akire · 29/09/2020 08:55

Isnt adam representing Yasmin? Wouldn’t it look slightly suspicious that you get you wife’s legal aid done for theft with no evidence?

Mairyhinge · 29/09/2020 09:41

Did anyone else piss themselves laughing at the younger Aggie sons facial expressions when older son came in? It was sooooo over acted like the old films when you're guilty of something and the music goes de de derrrrrrrr?
It was soooo bad it was funny but he's a shit actor anyway. They all are in that family.
Peters looking sexy ( although far too small for me), and I thought Craig wasn't even a real copper? Wouldn't they send a proper Bobby with him?
It's just so bad at times 🤦‍♀️

wizzbangfizz · 29/09/2020 10:12

@Akire Imran is representing her, but still a dodgy situation!

MsMiaWallace · 29/09/2020 10:41

Craig would never get in the police with his family history anyway.
I thought he was a special constable?

It's time for a Corrie pregnancy isn't it? Wonder who's next?

Smallsteps88 · 29/09/2020 10:50

Knowing Corrie it will be Jenny.

And the baby will be Steve’s Grin

Housewife2010 · 29/09/2020 10:57

Peter's looking so gorgeously hot. Carla should be used to women coming onto him. He doesn't have much competition in the Coronation Street hunk stakes.

Deadringer · 29/09/2020 11:06

I would like Toyah to get pregnant, there would be lots of conflicting emotions going around, with Leanne heartbroken over Oliver, and i think it would make a good storyline. Obviously i wouldn't want this to happen to people irl, in fact i hate the Oliver illness story.

MsMiaWallace · 29/09/2020 11:21

Agreed with Toyah. It'd be bitter sweet.

thenightsky · 29/09/2020 11:34

Oh yes! That was very 'Acorn Antiques'.

ellenanora5 · 29/09/2020 12:06

They are a really bad family of actors, Michaels voice just grates on me, the footballer son looks like he can never remember what he's supposed to be saying, Grace was useless so hopefully she'll never return again, and as for not telling him she was going to Spain until the day before, what nonsense.

I never knew that about Jack P Shepherd, I have lost any respect for him after reading that, what a scumbag.

Craigs hair is ridiculous, it does not suit him and I'm getting increasingly irritated by the name Bertie, what about "Bertie" that's all he seems to say and if I was Daniel I'd be telling him to back off and mind his own business.

sweetkitty · 29/09/2020 12:13

Oh I’m agreeing with you all - the bannisters give be the rage every tine I see then they are just wrong. Can the whole family move to Spain and bad act over there?

Geoff thing has gone on long enough now getting bored of it. Daniel getting involved has been rubbish too.

I’m not even that bothered with the whole Leanne/Oliver/Nick/new son/Toyah thing I think the Oliver storyline has been a bit rushed I hate Leanne as a character she’s like Fizz she’s constantly snappy and nasty. No redeeming sides to her at all.

Don’t know why I’m still watching it just now Hmm

eggandonion · 29/09/2020 12:39

They could do a Spanish spinoff with Liz and Andy, does anyone remember the fabulous el Dorado?

Roussette · 29/09/2020 12:41

Like ElDorado?! Grin

Agree. Craig and Beth carry on as if they share custody of Bertie with Daniel. They don’t. They’re distant relatives of the child. They don’t get to step in as parents just because his mum died.

Roussette · 29/09/2020 12:43

Oh so sorry! Posted them read the end of your post!
The acting was DIRE!
Some of it is on YouTube, it's hilarious!

Keeping2ChevronsApart · 29/09/2020 12:53

It's been bugging me all morning who the footballer son reminds me of then it came to me!

At one point last night, I really thought Craig was going to threaten Daniel with going for custody of Bertie.

It's nearly as bad as Emmerdale with the relentless "for Millie's sake" and "what about Millie" from Andrea and Jamie. I physically recoil every time one of them mentions her now. But at least she's theirs.
