No, my days of eating out late are over. I can remember regularly going for a curry at close to midnight 'in my youth'. Grin.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 18:18

This set has flipped around. I'm not convinced that Norrie can pull off an upset here though.

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 18:22

They do seem to be being a bit over strict on the shot clock - Rafa will probably be traumatised by all the changes

10pm is very late - I’m usually ready for bed at that point Shock

Some places round us are continuing the Eat Out Scheme into September Spidey so you might get lucky

Petr Korda’s son is playing Shaggy

PrivateSpidey · 31/08/2020 18:36

Ah that's worth knowing Fizzy thanks - will keep an eye out!

I've just switched over to Zverev v Anderson - just about to start.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 18:40

Hmm Norrie seems to really be on a come back.

maybe I will turn over and watch a bit of Sascha.

The mask police have just been out to tell people in the crowd to mask up, according to Tim.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 18:43

Well, Sascha has very pink shorts.

And a matching headband.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 18:51

Just keeping an eye on the Diego scores. It's fallen apart for him, really.

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 18:57

Diego’s serving was even worse than Sascha’s Raahh - so many double faults to lose that set!

Raahh · 31/08/2020 19:01

He just seems to have got riled by the earlier incidents, and not be able to get back into the game.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 19:04

Kev not happy with the time violation. I think the umpires really do need to use common sense- but it so often seems to be lacking.

Raahh · 31/08/2020 19:05

Oh blimey. Now we have 'question time' re Connors.

PrivateSpidey · 31/08/2020 19:24

No negative face Grin

Bit of a turnaround here...

kazzaD66 · 31/08/2020 19:45

Just catching up on the latest scores and it says on the BBC website that Norrie has just broken back to level the match with the 50th break point of the match!!!
What on earth is going on Confused

Raahh · 31/08/2020 19:48

I have been trying to get ready to go out. The dds have taken over the tv.

I am just catching up on the scores.

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 19:56

I’m competing with the Tour de France - normally it clashes with Wimbledon but as it’s been delayed this year it now clashes with the US Open Hmm

Raahh · 31/08/2020 20:03

Score watching the Diego match is quite exhausting.

PrivateSpidey · 31/08/2020 20:04

Fizzy how typical - could they not arrange it so it didn't clash with any tennis?!

Raahh · 31/08/2020 20:04

And he's been broken again!

PrivateSpidey · 31/08/2020 20:04

50 break points?!? That must be some kind of record?!

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 20:14

Just seen that Norrie’s finally won in the fifth - what a strange match!

Private it is a bit inconsiderate of the Tour de France but I quite like seeing the french scenery (and the crashes!)

kazzaD66 · 31/08/2020 20:42

I can't believe that Norrie match!
He was 5-3 in the fifth, saved a couple of match points and won 7-5!
Apparently, Diego was cramping towards the end.

I see that Anderson won the second set and Stefanos appears to be cruising.

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 21:02

Just switched over to see that Stefanos has won his match easily

tobee · 31/08/2020 21:15

@Raahh

Grin

It doesn't sound like much, for an elite athlete who spends hours exercising. No wonder he always looks a bit peaky (imo).

But he probably spends a lot of time meditating and hugging trees, so that keeps him healthy. Or something.

I wonder how he is going to cope, mentally, now all the ATP/ council stuff is coming out? It really affected him last time (at least, he used the Kermode stuff as the excuse why he lost a few matches at the time).

For someone who craves love and attention, he is really doing a good job this year at attracting negative press.

Lol

Fizzywinegum · 31/08/2020 21:28

I can’t imagine Kevin Anderson wearing bright pink - he reminds me of a geography teacher for some reason! He’s only 34 but seems older. He’s giving Zverev a good run for his money though.

tobee · 31/08/2020 21:29

Dh loves to watch the Tour and goes on about seeing the French countryside. I've tried really hard to get into it but just can't. You don't get to see the scenery really, it all looks the same; close up shots of bums, huge crashes and then close ups of torn shins, and then 20 seconds of a race at the end. HmmThen all the teams are called Alpha Tango Foxtrot or Pharmacon or something Confused. I love the rest of cycling, track and road but not the Tour.

Anyway. Sorry. Long rant over. Grin
