I understood "Asian" to be Indian/Pakistani.

Chinese/Japanese/Thai etc are oriental - or so I believed.

If it's considered offensive, I won't use it.

I got anthology paper marked down a couple of years ago for spelling "Muslim" as "Moslem" - apparently it's outdated.

a) How the heck would I know that?

Me too, crazy working hours, beer drinking of a weekday evening and heavy smoking (used to be a social smoker pre covid, have given up now).

I suspect we are wrong to assume that there were hundreds of prospective husbands to choose from. When John said they had over five thousand applicants it's fair to assume half of those were men. By the time they have taken out the totally unsuitable ones I supect there wasn't that many to play around with in reality.

It makes for uncomfortable viewing when they are using women that are so clearly vulnerable and men that should have a cork on their fork.

i assume some of the men were approached by casting directors rather than applied (richJustin/old John/Nasser/troy) as they seem more personalities than regular guys.

Just to muddy the waters here (sorry), I'm part Asian and I love the term 'Oriental' . It makes me feel all 1920s and glamorous

But I do appreciate people trying to help against racism. It's a tricky thing for sure, terminologies.

Gabrielle, the woman with alopecia, wears a blonde wig. I felt so sorry for her as she clearly slept in it for the wedding night. Must be roasting and itchy. That said, she should have told Nasser imho. All these secrets the contestants have! Such drama!

I think she said she wore a wig when she was young and rapidly losing her hair .

I’ve looked very closely and if she does wear a wig it’s a really good one . So maybe she doesn’t need one now . Possible hair extensions ?

She did however mention that she was going have to be open about her alopecia so maybe it’s still a problem .

I think it's a wig. When she was getting ready, she indicated to one of the bridesmaids that she 'wouldn't be wearing this one'.

It's a bloody good wig though. If it wasn't for her saying it was one, I would not have guessed. Once she'd said though, I looked closely and it looked a bit too glossy and sleek for real hair, unless you are blessed with great hair.

Amazing that with her insecurities, she's still confident to model. That has to be good for her self esteem, being picked for jobs.

I think it’s definitely a wig, I could tell something wasn’t quite right about her hair before she said she had alopecia. There are literally no dark roots at all which she would have slightly if it was real hair. I think it’s a very expensive wig.

Yes I read this was the case for Troy at least. I also read that the production team choose the shortlist and then the experts match among those.

I think probably not because if it got out it would be very bad publicity for the programme. You never know though and I am sure lots of them (e.g. Cheryl, Abandrew) are looking to move into TV/modelling/music.

I can't see them as actors particularly, but I do think lots of them want to use it as a platform for things like reality TV (I'm a Celebrity) type of shows and also things like instagram influencing?

I think evil twin was just being protective as he seemed a bit full of himself and overly conderned with looks maybe she just imagined someone more caring due to sisters insecurities but who knows wait and see.. she cant be worse than quiet Andy's mother surely or that other mother that said me or her (forgotten names).I liked his friends too they seemed to be giving him good advice.
Wasn't keen on Mr Millionaire but like his bride, liked the way she got the bridesmaids to interrogate him then innocently sidled up and said oh are they grilling you! clever!

My prediction for this couple? We have Mr I’m-a-stud and that’s so cool, who will not be okay with being married to a woman with a similar sexual history. I suspect he’ll try to pretend it’s fine but ultimately think she’s a slut (unlike him, he’s obvs just really manly and studly)

He’s slept with around 200 men, she loves sex and has had lots of relationships (including being married before). Both have been cheated on.
