Yes, the 'Tiger' name was not good
.
The Wimbledon wedsite are going with upsets/near missess of big champions/future stars, as their theme for their matches today
First up is the Steffi Graff /Lori McNeil match from 94, then Venus losing to Magdalena Grzybowska in the first round in 97, rounded off with Federer being pushed to 5 sets by Falla, in his first round in 2010- a match that is never ever mentioned by the BBC. In fact, I doubt many people even remember it
. I mean, he didn't lose, but it was a big scare at the time.
In fact, they seem to be focusing a lot on big scares/ losses. They featured the same Henman/Kafelnikov match yesterday (big win for Tim, as Kaf was the 5th seed), and showed Djok v Rochus, (also from 2010, where Djok was pushed to 5 sets). They also showed the Gauff/Williams match.
I'm not sure why they have taken the tactic to focus on the losses/near failures of some their big stars. Seems a bit odd.
