I have had quite a bit of the Aldi Fake Pimms this week, won't be as nice when it's raining.

Can't say I blame Rafa for preferring to stay in Spain.

Jane no, me neither. Plus, he is supporting his friend's tournament.

I know we've said many times that ultimately it's just tennis, but it still feels like a bit of a mess. The schedule is ridiculous.

Well, isn't this nice- they are going to catch up Simona later. But not before they show a match she lost .

This match was very noisy, with the roof shut.

I loved the Halep Wimbledon win. She was not phased by the fact everyone seemed to be against her. She just put her head down and got on with it. Didn't play the player, she played the ball. Which is as it should be.

More football so I'll watch later. Thank goodness the football season ends before Wimbledon in the real world! I couldn't deal with this carry on.

Simona is concerned about the US open. The USTA really should listen to the players. So many players are saying that they are worried about going to the States to play.

Jane if RL was happening, I'm not sure if the Euros wouldn't have been getting in the way on Wimbledon too.

That Halep win last year was great. I know it was a one-sided final but sometimes you just have to marvel when someone is in "the zone" like that, as they say A bit like the Kvitova v Bouchard final.

I do like Heather. I think she has a career in presenting /commentating when her career ends. Given some of the people the Beeb have given jobs to, she should have no trouble.

To randomly go back to what we were saying earlier - I don't get the ATP schedule at all. US Open finishes the day Madrid is supposed to start I don't see how anyone could play both, especially if they get to finals weekend at the US? Changing time zones and surfaces within a day?!?! Or something.

Private the thing was, unlike the Bouchard final (I think she got lucky), it shouldn't have been one sided. I think Serena expected to win. Just as she did against Kerber. But Simona gave her nothing , right from the off. She didn't play the 'Serena' game.

Just watching BJK againt Martina. I don't think Martina really looks any older now!

Private Exactly! It's crackers. Knowing that the Olympics was off, the US swing could havde happened earlier, imo. But they were miffed , because Guy got in first, and set a date for RG. Going from hard courts to clay - with a time difference -very different to clay/grass without - is totally unfair to the players- mainly the top ones.

(And they need to remember- it's the top players that get bums on seats- especially without Saint Roger in the mix).
