I have had quite a bit of the Aldi Fake Pimms this week, won't be as nice when it's raining.

I think he had quite short , shorts.

My mother was always a bit obsessed with his shorts.

Just watched the Wimbledon programme, followed by Andy, King of Queens.

I never liked Lendl when he played but I think in recent years, we've seen a slightly different side to him and that he does have a good sense of humour, just very dry! Loved it when Andy smashed the ball at him in the Ross Hutchins charity match at Queens And also, Andy's comments about Lendl not sticking around for his 5th title presentation

Sue's garden looked lovely for her wheelie bin challenge, can't believe she has no tennis balls at home! I think Tim had been practising aswell [grin

No, I can't take to Konta either (certainly not helped by her tedious service action!) although I did warm to her a bit on Celebrity Bake Off.

Yes, Lendl did have short, tight shorts, but then, that was the fashion () then. Look at Mac and our very own Legs Lloyd

I was a Lendl fan, way back when. And yes those shorts were short - have horrible memories of Becker in his short shorts :/

I read the Agassi autobiography years ago, it was really entertaining and he was obsessed with that wig. Poor fella.

Lendl’s shorts were quite short and I think he used to have chalk in his pockets which possibly added to the strangeness - I quite liked his cheekbones but he seems to have filled out a bit in middle age! (Sounds familiar )

I read Agassi's autobiography aswell. Iirc, it got so bad at one stage that he was more worried about his wig going awry than winning the match

Is anyone watching Wimbledon this afternoon? I think it’s Goran afternoon - he’s playing Agassi (watch out for the wig!) and then it’s the Pat Rafter one (if I’ve got my days right)

I have just switched on. Not sure how much I will get to see this afternoon really, but we will see.

Goran looks so young (this is becoming a bit of theme this week ).

Yes, 92. . Goran is 3 months older than me, so he is still 20 at this point. (His birthday, iirc, is September).

Private up until a few years ago, I had loads of video of old matches that I refused to get rid of. No chance of ever being ever to play them again- the VCR is hardly likely to make a comeback. I argued they said that about the vinyl album- but dh (rightly I suppose) did point out that vinyl never actually went away .

Goran must have done what Murray did, and grew into himself, I think. Andy was really scrawny as a teen/ early 20s.

Oddly, watching now, I think the wig was a bit ageing on Andre, (like an 80s soft rock singer) and he actually looked a whole lot better once he embraced the bald.

And I have just realised Goran's shorts would have been almost indecent, if he wasn't wearing what looks like cycling shorts underneath. They are practically just underpants .

DH wanted to throw our VCR away so I hid it in a drawer

Goran really wears his heart on his sleeve doesn't he? I think that's why I loved him so much, you could just see exactly what he was feeling.

I remember being so depressed that year he lost to Sampras in the final for the second time - was it 98? It was awful.

So glad he won it eventually.

Can’t stop watching Andre’s wig - he looks a bit like the singer Michael Bolton!
