If someone had told us last year that the only tennis we'd see at Wimbledon this year would be Tim and Annabel hitting tennis balls into a wheelie bin.. well I would have thought it was something from the alternative tennis universe Grin

Raahh · 30/06/2020 20:56

I think the biggest challenge Rafa has had has been working his his instagram.

Grin definitely

The mixer Grin

Raahh · 30/06/2020 20:57

Spidey yes, it is very, very surreal.

Stan!

I’m watching on catch up - intrigued by the wheelie bin challenge - I bet Sue won’t be getting in a bin Grin

I’m fascinated by all the stories about Andre’s wig - apparently it disintegrated in the shower before the French Open final and Chris Evert had to lend him some hair grips Grin

My kids loved Spongebob - I remember going to see the film - David Hasselhoff was in it!

Raahh · 30/06/2020 20:58

I have to say, Jamie and Dan are not the most exciting intervieweesGrin.

Enthusiastic bin challenge waving Grin

Raahh · 30/06/2020 20:59

Fizzy Andre's wig had a life of it's own.

Sue has a lovely garden. The poor dog probably thought she was throwing his toys away Grin

I thought Dan was like I would be if someone asked how I spent lockdown Grin

PrivateSpidey · 30/06/2020 21:07

Grin same here. "Watched a bit of telly"

Good on him.

Raahh · 30/06/2020 21:10

Jane true.

I realised how long it was sine the girls finished school yesterday- I had big plans.

I have done nothing. My life is pretty much as it was before. With more people around. The dog possibly gets more frequent, sightly shorter, walks. But that's it.

*slightly

My ability to write/type has suffered.

Maybe.

That was weird! They should have invited Kyle along for even more interesting chat Hmm

They need more Mac - I know he talks a lot but I find him quite entertaining.

Not sure about tomorrow night's Jo Konta and Pat Cash combo!

Raahh · 30/06/2020 21:21

I'm really not a fan of Jo Konta, I'm afraid. I can't put my finger on why. I liked Heather last night, she always seems lovely, but I have never warmed to Jo. and her strange service action

This is making us get to the point where we will be begging for AC, isn't it?

And I don't meant Annabel.

What they really need, is Andrew Cotter to bring his dogs, Olive and Mabel, to commentate on them.

They are Insta famous now. down with the kidsThey even have a book deal.

Fizzywinegum · 30/06/2020 21:27

I always find Pat Cash’s commentary really boring - he just drones on (not as bad as Jim Courier though Grin)

I do still hold a grudge against him for beating Lendl in the Wimbledon final and then starting that silly tradition of climbing into the player’s box. I think they’re showing that match later this week.

PrivateSpidey · 30/06/2020 21:57

Grin Fizzy I love your tone of disapproval - that silly tradition Grin

I was glad when he won Wimbledon (sorry), but I do know what you mean about his commentary though.

Fizzywinegum · 30/06/2020 22:09

Spidey I felt sorry for Lendl sat on his own on his chair while Pat clambered up to his box! After that everyone had to do it - I was always convinced they would put their foot through the roof or fall off!

I suspect I was in the minority in feeling sorry for Lendl.

JaneJeffer · 30/06/2020 22:13

I was delighted he won.

Raahh · 30/06/2020 22:15

I liked Lendl. Miserable bugger, but I am too.

The All England Club should tell players that if they want to go climbing all over the seats, they give up some of the prize money, for insurance.

Still giggle when I think of Rafa nearly ending up in Royal box though.

Raahh · 30/06/2020 22:18

Actually, I don't think Ivan is miserable. Not really. He is probably really funny in rl.

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 30/06/2020 22:20

I think he is miserable Grin

Raahh · 30/06/2020 22:21

Jane Grin

He had strange shorts.

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 30/06/2020 22:26

Strange shorts in what sort of way Raahh? Grin

I quite liked his grumpiness but think he had a dry sense of humour (that probably only he understood!)

PrivateSpidey · 30/06/2020 22:28

They've made a proper route up there now haven't they? But yes it was always a bit dicey watching them clamber up Shock

Lol at strange shorts Grin I don't remember them! Will have to investigate...
