We have been discussing the series Our Girl since the first one aired in 2014 and are now on number 56! Occasionally between discussions of Our Girl, we watch the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Georgie finds it hard to hide her true feelings from Fingers, he knows her too well.

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:36

BTW, Rhu, if you are interested in costumes, look at Musketeers. Dresses are fab, and the detail in the leather worn by the musketeers! I freeze-framed in shots of Porthos’ jacket and never caught all the detail.

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:36

What a stupid contest in such weather. Honesty. running until you drop!

Ilovelblue · 11/08/2020 21:36

As somebody who wears glasses quite a lot these days, I'd like to know how on earth did he manage to run without his glasses falling off/slipping off?

ooh, I loved the Musketeers. Lots of episodes of that too and eye candy but I was always Team Aramis rather than D'Artagnan.

Ilovelblue · 11/08/2020 21:38

Georgie has saved Elvis's voicemails.

So, my heart bleeds for poor 2nd Lt Hurst - trying to impress his Dad.

Oh, Elvis's message on her phone again. Love these snippets.

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:39

I’ve re-watched all three series, and though it’s D’Artsgnan for ever, there are times when Aramus is so darn hot...

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:40

So, Georgie assumes she will be close protection. She starts to argue as usual. Good grief!

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:41

Oh yes "Knight Takes Queen" is one of my favourite episodes Blush

Ilovelblue · 11/08/2020 21:41

The tension mounts. You just know something is going to go wrong.

Darkness renders most people effectively blind, Lt Hurst. That always makes me shake my head a bit.

Ilovelblue · 11/08/2020 21:42

In that outfit, Georgie doesn't stand out as European.

Are the locals suspicious. Ah, the watch is taken off and obviously hidden.

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:45

Bitchy remark from the fishy doc - it was Second Lieutenant Hurst, with a distinct emphasis in ‘second’.

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:46

There used to be a really funny thread on here for Musketeers fans, called The Swagger Inn Grin

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:46

Dishy! Why does it always correct to fishy?????

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:47

I used to read that too, before I found this.

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:47

eejit I did wonder what was fishy about him? Grin

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:49

Love Mink’s what on Earth were we thinking giving you a weapon.

Ilovelblue · 11/08/2020 21:50

Yes that comment from Hurst is just very strange indeed.

Dr Bahil and Georgie have a conversation and Dr Bahil apologises to her for her earlier comments.

Mimi realises the injured Afghan girl has disappeared. Supposedly her uncle has taken her home.

Mimi is definitely like the Molly we knew and loved from the first series.

eejittwo · 11/08/2020 21:50

Monk’s!

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:50

The little girl has gone, so Mimi has a go at Dr Dishy about it. But it was Mimi's fault for putting up notices.

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:52

Time to go and things are getting dodgy.

Rhubarb01 · 11/08/2020 21:53

Of course Georgie takes her earpiece out a the wrong moment, so she doesn't hear.
