Our Girl Thread 56 "Stay Obsessed"

We have been discussing the series Our Girl since the first one aired in 2014 and are now on number 56! Occasionally between discussions of Our Girl, we watch the 1990s series of Soldier Soldier.

Lots and lots of shooting!

Stating the obvious, but Dr Bahil has been abducted and Poya has been shot.

Dr Bahil gets to the car but it drives off without Georgie. Poya is injured. Now they've got the doctor. Whoops it's all gone pear-shaped.

I have to confess that that episode wasn't one of my favourites really,

I’m about three minutes behind, and it’s frozen. Drat!

I had to stop the Military Wives DVD late afternoon so am going to try and finish watching it before I go to bed. I am sure I have just spotted Dr Sadie from Soldier Soldier as one of the wives. It was her mouth and teeth I saw first!

Hope you managed to sleep,ilove. No chance here, with the light show and sound effects. Thought the window was going to come in at one point.

We'd had that lightning the previous night eejit. I think it went on for about 5 hours in total. Another friend who lives in Edinburgh has put a similar comment on Facebook. There were flash floods in parts of Lancashire but we only had one torrential downpour.

It's going to be hot again tomorrow for us then I think it cools off - thank goodness!

IPlayer is going to be even more dodgy than usual tonight. I lost the landline early last Wednesday and only got it back today, but it is still a bit intermittent - the engineer told me that it might take a day or two for whatever he did up the pole to dry out in this weather.

Would you rather postpone eejit? Sorry, just seen this.

Happy to postpone too if that would be better eejit.

Managing all right so far - just watched the tail-end of last week's, because the machine completely froze on me. So happy to go ahead ...

I detest the brigadier, he's a very unpleasant character.

They've all been hauled in front of the Brig. Gosh Georgie is annoying butting in like that. She really hasn't got a grip on herself.

Maybe Kingy regrets trying to persuade Georgie to join them in Afghan after all.

Kingy can see she's not really up to things.
