I thought I might as well start it. As then I won't have to go searching for the new thread.

Lovely Patrick being interviewed on BBC News now.

He's talking about the Big Community Sew that he launched. He looks very tired and a bit rumpled, has he got young children?!

LIZS · 14/06/2020 10:45

no , he has been working in one of his sewing warehouses to produce ppe.

Binglebong · 14/06/2020 13:50

Ypu know that striped dress the make in the opening credits? Here is the perfectly matched adult version Grin www.facebook.com/groups/1640426572849071/permalink/3243166572575055/

IntermittentParps · 14/06/2020 17:17

On a different note, is it just me or has Patrick started dressing like a wacky old lord of the manor.
I am VERY troubled by Patrick's clothing decisions this series. That light blue jacket with the South Kensington red trousers Shock and his clothes all seem too big for him this year. He used to look so sleek, didn't he? Or am I just looking back through rose-tinted glasses?

I love Clare – her humour, her style, using words like 'Blast!' – and didn't even mind the blue flamenco-style skirt. I'm sick of Liz 'Did I mention I was a goth/punk?' (which one even is she?!?). I don't like most of Nicole's ethnic-style fabrics –they remind me of lads at Levellers gigs in the late 80s. Matt is a sweet guy but I think he's reached his limit.

Clare to win!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 14/06/2020 21:22

Ah, of course! I was thinking have they had to overstitch the scalloped edges! Doh!

If it's any consolation I thought the same, Carrot.

MusicianTom · 14/06/2020 21:46

Thinking about the fabric for the Terno blouse, and how Claire and Liz both picked the sheer embroidered fabrics, do you think the sewers are given any hints about what sort of fabric to use? On the programme we see them leaping straight in to the fabric shelves, but wouldn't it make sense to read the pattern first?

SoupDragon · 14/06/2020 23:04

Given there is always one who picks the wrong type of fabric, I suspect not!

Patrick and Esme do usually say something when describing the pattern though don't they? I'm not sure whether that's when they talk to us or to the contestants though.

Well, that Frida shirt has finally made its way to the intended recipient. And so has the dress. Both went off with matching masks.

Fantastic work @dillite.

I saw on a Facebook group that some TV guides for next week tell you who is in the final ie who leaves tomorrow. Beware!

Roussette · 17/06/2020 09:26

Loe the Frido, great pic!

I am not googling anything at all to do with Sewing Bee just in case, thanks for that, I really don't want to know in advance!

ScarfLadysBag · 17/06/2020 20:41

Posting so I can find this later on!

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 17/06/2020 20:42

Just about to put the kettle on. Evening all!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/06/2020 20:47

I think I'll join you cleghole,

Would you like a biscuit to go with that?

I have jaffa cakes and those sort of crisp little caramelly ones - "Lotus",

aaaand . . . . . Rington's fruit and lemon. I have to hide the buggers or they're gone.

ScarfLadysBag · 17/06/2020 20:50

I need some Sewing Bee escapism after today, just bloody exhausted with it all! I'll have a cup of tea too, and I wouldn't say no to one of those biccies! Biscuit

ChicCroissant · 17/06/2020 20:51

I'm making my DD do her instrument practice before it starts so I don't have any interruptions!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/06/2020 20:56

Help yourself ScarfLady

I don't mind sharing with people who appreciate the subtle flavours and delicate crispiness of my favourite delights.

It's this houseful of gannets who just inhale them without even tasting them that pees me off!

Roussette · 17/06/2020 20:59

Here we go!

ScarfLadysBag · 17/06/2020 21:00

Woohoo! Much excite

Wolfcub · 17/06/2020 21:01

Evening all

BitOfFun · 17/06/2020 21:01

I'm so excited, I couldn't eat, schadenfreude!

Bella444 · 17/06/2020 21:02

Any predictions?

Poshjock · 17/06/2020 21:02

Hello Fellow sewing enthusiasts

SchadenfreudePersonified · 17/06/2020 21:03

"Paint me like one of your french seams" (Twitter)

Poshjock · 17/06/2020 21:03

Oh twist alert!

ScarfLadysBag · 17/06/2020 21:03

I've got to think Matt is the most likely candidate to leave. He's been clinging on for weeks, it feels like!
