I thought I might as well start it. As then I won't have to go searching for the new thread.

Thanks for new thread!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/06/2020 22:21

Thank you dilite

TokyoSushi · 10/06/2020 22:23

I love Nicole's made to measures, I think it will between her & Claire in the end, maybe with Liz as the third finalist.

SoupDragon · 10/06/2020 22:24

I promise to only chortle on this thread :)

TheNavigator · 10/06/2020 22:28

I loved Nicole's skirt, it would have been incredible with the waist trim. It was in a different league to the rest.

Amazed Matt has squeaked through, but his skirt was better than Marks. Mark does seem lovely though- actually they all do. Real feel good tv.

RomaineCalm · 10/06/2020 22:32

I'll just leave my pattern weights here in the hope of finding you all next week.

BitOfFun · 10/06/2020 22:35

Signing in. So excited for next week!

fairyfingers · 10/06/2020 22:46

I hated Nicole's skirtBlush. Don't get the love at all. Mind you, the only one I did like was Liz's.

Think the right person went but my money on an all female final - Matt seems increasingly ropey and without Nicole's flair.

Didkdt · 10/06/2020 23:02

Claire MTM wasn't up to scratch but her butterfly blouse was gorgeous and the transformation dress was really good as well.
I think the skirts came down to up close on the quality rather than how they looked at passing glance from a distance Nicole's wasn't my favourite but in terms of the craftsmanship it was probably the most well constructed

Poshjock · 11/06/2020 00:06

Place marking here for next week. I can’t believe there’s only two to go. That said I am still eternally relieved that the show was revived, I thought that it had been cancelled forever! I loved them all, pottery, painting, baking, sewing and allotment

Studycast · 11/06/2020 00:08

Chalk-marking and notch-matching here for next week! Thanks again Dillite.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 11/06/2020 00:17

Thank you dilite

Lurleene · 11/06/2020 00:24

Poshjock do you have Netflix? The Big Flower Fight on there follows much the same format but with great big floral sculptures. Some really talented people on there.

Wolfcub · 11/06/2020 06:40

Thanks for the new thread

CaptainMyCaptain · 11/06/2020 07:16

Thanks for the thread. I'm really rooting for Claire to win but the curtain skirt wasn't good and I loved Nicole's. It will be a very close final with Claire /Nicole /Liz I think.

Al1Langdownthecleghole · 11/06/2020 08:12

Thank You for the new thread. Signing in for next week.

Roussette · 11/06/2020 08:42

Liz flies under the radar I think but she is consistent. My favourite is Nicole because she does take a few risks. I do find Claire (a brilliant sewer) a bit safe and I did think her flamenco skirt was a shocker.

I do think those flamenco skirts that weren't higher at the front than the back were just not right, they were then just a tiered long skirt, you can't do a flamenco in one that isn't, and the style of Nicole's was perfect.

SoupDragon · 11/06/2020 09:02

It will be a very close final with Claire /Nicole /Liz I think.

I agree. It may well come down to who messes up as well as who does well too.

They were just flamenco inspired skirts weren't they? I was distracted by somewhat drunk DS1 complaining that he couldn't find his phone which is essential for walking the dog 🙄

ChicCroissant · 11/06/2020 09:28

Just clipping the corner to arrive late here, only started watching this series and I'm enjoying it although it's years since I've sewn - would like to get back into it.

Claire's stuff is usually really well sewn (agree about the skirt last night though, just a blip and we all have them) and I loved the way the ruffle sat on Nicole's skirt, although the fabric may not have been my choice. I liked Liz's skirt, although I'm not sure if Esme's remark 'it's very you' was a compliment or not (haven't watched from the start).

fortifiedwithtea · 11/06/2020 09:51

Just leaving my tailor’s tack here for next week

Roussette · 11/06/2020 09:55

Yes, perhaps I'm being a bit harsh with the higher at the front flamenco look. Smile

SoupDragon · 11/06/2020 10:05

Part of the challenge is deciding what the judges are actually looking for
I guess,

Roussette · 11/06/2020 10:11

Yes, agree this absolutely.

Esme loves bows, do bows! Patrick is a stickler for something, play to that!

CaptainMyCaptain · 11/06/2020 10:15

I'm just watching again as someone on Facebook mentioned a little mouse in shot at one point. Also, there was a mention of Claire's grey jacket but she's wearing a short sleeved jumper.

Obsessed? I'm wasting my morning looking out for a mouse ffs.

SoupDragon · 11/06/2020 10:15
