Tonight's was a bit heavy on the snot'n'tears, wasn't it? If anyone can devise a way of Fletch responding quickly and successfully to his treatment and stopping Essie thinking that she should be able to carry on life as normal whilst she's undergoing chemo, please implement your plan ASAP.

Medani's torso was the only redeeming feature of this episode. I've no idea what the pills he bought were - any ideas?

I am slowly catching up - just watched the John Barrowman episode. Loathe Cameron so much. It's hard to remember the time when Evan was the skinny weaselly shit on the wards - Cam has stepped seamlessly into his shoes. I was so glad that John Barrowman spotted him for what he was, but I wish Nikki would heed the warnings! Donna wouldn't believe Xav either - what is this hold he has over all the young women?! Max and Ange can see straight through him!

@SleepingStandingUp I had to pause it as I had a Sainsburys delivery and then had to unpack and do a subdelivery to my best friend. Literally minutes after I turned on again she died. I've found the whole story line very difficult as I lost my DP to cancer 2 and half years ago... 😔 😔 😔

I have just caught up and was really, really disappointed. I was expecting something more emotional and special considering how long she’s been in the show, not just dying in a wheelchair in the corridor without her loved ones around her.

It was a total anticlimax. I didn’t shed a single tear and I’m usually a wreck when it comes to deaths that happen to soon.

I found the Guy storyline more gripping.

I can’t say I’m particularly fond of Essie’s character but her ending on the show deserved better than that in my opinion.

Sacha's aunt's death was much more poignant than poor Essie's sudden demise. I was never really a fan but she and Sacha deserved the happiness of their wedding even if very short-lived.

I am really hoping that there's some whirlwind (and very positive) love interest for Sacha just around the corner. I wonder whether he will want to keep Isla too?

Isla was at the wedding (which wasn't) with Sacha - he was holding her. Unless I missed anything?

Essie was not my most favourite character but it was a quick ending. I wonder if the episode was meant to end like that? Perhaps her contract was almost up and when lock down happened there wasn't a chance to film a more drawn out end?

Film a more drawn out ending?? Surely she was contracted to work til the end of the episode! They could have does up the walk and glimpsed over the ceremony bar a gushy bit from S and a snog. And yes, I'm angry lol 😂

All I can find is that it will return in the autumn. Hope its not too long I want to see Cameron get what he deserves!
