I enjoyed:

Gilmore Girls
Pretty Little Liars
Gossip Girl
Vampire Diaries
Never Have I Ever
Katie & Alexa

Started watching Riverdale but don’t love it yet so not sure whether I’ll continue.

I also loved Greys Anatomy, Revenge, Westworld, Game of Thrones and Homeland but I do love a good teen drama.

Grateful for any recommendations Smile

I'm watching Jane the Virgin on Netflix with my teen DD.
We also loved Anne with an E, also on Netflix
I also recommend This is us and Life in pieces on Prime if you get it.

BunnytheBee · 09/05/2020 10:35

I saw bits of Veronica Mars when I was too young to appreciate it. I would watch it again.

I was thinking yesterday Riverdale reminds me a bit of Veronica Mars but purely because of Betty being a reporter.

I’ve seen This is Us and loved it but not up to date as I don’t have Prime.

Haven’t seen Life in Pieces or Anne with an E.

I was just going to post a similar thread! I would suggest Once Upon a Time you will definitely love it!

Any OUAT fans please recommend something for me that’s similar

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 09/05/2020 19:41

It is the opposite of teen. But the Client List on Netflix. Masseuse who makes ends meet by doing extras.
100% trashy romp. But has 2 seasons

BunnytheBee · 09/05/2020 23:02

I liked OUAT. Not sure why I stopped watching it. You’d probably enjoy some of the other suggestions here.

I liked the Client List. I loved Ghost Whisperer too (also Jennifer Love Hewitt)

I loved OUAT however, don't bother with the last season, it was awful! The penultimate season finished really well, so season 7 was just a weird addition imo.

inthekitchensink · 10/05/2020 09:17

Legacies! Spin off from vampire diaries & the originals, much lighter & more fun. It’s a US channel though (CW) so you may have to be a little resourceful to find it Blush

BunnytheBee · 11/05/2020 15:33

Yeah I do think the later seasons of OUAT that I watched weren’t as good as the earlier ones.

I would watch Legacies

I really enjoyed "Reign" on Netflix. Royal teen drama, based on historical events but a bit glammed up. I might have a rewatch.

Horehound · 11/05/2020 16:52

I loved never have I ever which I watched thanks to this thread.
And now I'm loving ordinary people

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 19/05/2020 10:55

Anyone watching Sweet Magnolias on Netflix? Seems like it fits this genre

bookish83 · 19/05/2020 20:51

13 reasons why
Atypical
The Goldbergs

SomeBunnyovertheRainbow · 19/05/2020 21:09

Sweet Magnolias looks really good

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 20/05/2020 21:01

Just got one more episode of Sweet Magnolias to watch. And it is really good. It has teen and adult romance/ flirting. Great cast and it just really light and fluffy. Highly recommend

StillGardening · 20/05/2020 21:11

Netflix - On My Block

Please tell me someone else has watched it ?! It went a bit bonkers but I loved it 😁

GinWithASplashOfTonic · 21/05/2020 14:22

Ooooo season 3 of dynasty is out on 23/5 GrinGrinGrin

Flibbertyjibbit · 08/06/2020 01:46

So relieved to know I'm not the only 35 year old watching teen dramas. DH thinks I'm crazy Hmm All my suggestions have already been mentioned. My favourite recently has been Chesapeake Shores.

13 Reasons Why

ClementineTangerine · 08/06/2020 02:00

Not read the whole thread but has anyone suggested outerbanks?

That plus:
The society
The order
The originals
Jane the virgin

Someone above mentioned life in pieces which I wouldnt say is a teen thing at all but is one of my favourite things I've ever watched along with jane the virgin and this is us!

musicinspring1 · 08/06/2020 12:03

I love a good American teen drama but I think my favourites have all been suggested already: The OC, One Tree Hill (although earlier series of those are best), I see you have done Vampire Diaries, The Originals and Gilmore Girls. Glee is good but a differnent tone to 'proper' American teen dramas and unfortunately I can't separate the characters from the actors and all the off screen drama any more. Hollywood on Netflix isn't a teen drama but it has Blaine from Glee in it and I loved it.

iwilltaketwoplease · 21/06/2020 18:14

Continue Riverdale!! I wasn't sure at the start but it's worth it!

iwilltaketwoplease · 21/06/2020 18:15

Oh and How to get away with murder , my favourite show.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/06/2020 20:13

You need to watch Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex Girlfriend.

HotCrossBungle · 22/06/2020 19:08

Love a good teen drama too. Missed out on The OC and One Tree Hill first time because I though I was too old for it (ridiculous!). Which one shall I go for first?

SomeBunnyOvertheRainbow · 26/06/2020 18:13

Loved:
13 Reasons Why
Jane the Virgin
Crazy Ex Girlfriend

Also finished Riverdale

I think of One Tree Hill as being similar to Dawson’s Creek but both are good

I haven’t finished Sweet Magnolias yet but will do

Started watching Big Love!
