I enjoyed:

Gilmore Girls
Pretty Little Liars
Gossip Girl
Vampire Diaries
Never Have I Ever
Katie & Alexa

Started watching Riverdale but don’t love it yet so not sure whether I’ll continue.

I also loved Greys Anatomy, Revenge, Westworld, Game of Thrones and Homeland but I do love a good teen drama.

Grateful for any recommendations Smile

I watched Sex and the City quite recently and also I’ve seen all of 90210 (the new one)

Yeah I can imagine the American version of anything is quite different Grin

Well it’s not QUITE what I’d put in the category of US teen drama in that it satirises the amateur documentary style but we ALL have enjoyed seasons one and two of American Vandal. Me, DH and the 2 teen DSs. It’s not your stereotypical teen drama at all but we really enjoyed the acting and characters and the whole feel of it. Both series.

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 03/05/2020 22:57

Dawson's creek on all 4

SarahTancredi · 03/05/2020 22:57

X files
Dark skies
American gothic
House
?

CurlyhairedAssassin · 03/05/2020 22:58

Oh also I caught some of the End of the Fucking World and it looked really good. I like something a bit different, I’m not a massive fan on stereotypical teen dramas really. Can’t stand all the angst over who is taking who to the prom etc and who is dating who.

Dumpyandabdabs · 03/05/2020 22:58

I also came on to suggest 'I'm not okay with this' on netflix.

BunnytheBee · 03/05/2020 23:02

Don’t know American Gothic House or
American Vandal

I am not okay with this and End of the fucking world looking good

Is there another Dark Skies? I just searched Netflix and a rather terrifying looking movie came up with that name.

Yes there is a series called dark skies. It's kind like x files but set in the 60s

Films good though Grin

Kortnee · 03/05/2020 23:04

Supernatural!

MrsWeatherwax · 03/05/2020 23:09

Spanish series called Elite on Netflix is defo worth a shout.

SkinnywannabeKBH · 03/05/2020 23:12

A work colleague recommended Once Upon a Time. It has hour long episodes and has like 20 eps per series. I am addicted

BunnytheBee · 03/05/2020 23:16

I watched a lot of Once Upon a Time but then stopped that too. I seem to have a history of watching a series and then moving on go some thing else or losing interest if I don’t absolutely love it.

I'm 21- here are my recent loves, all on Netflix:

The Society (season 2 coming out this year)
Dare Me (season 2 coming out next year)
I Am Not Okay With This (season 2 also out next year)

youngestisapsycho · 03/05/2020 23:30

Umbrella Academy! Can’t believe no one else had said it!

Wanderlust21 · 03/05/2020 23:35

Ooh - Series three of american horror story (teen witches n hot zombies lol). Each series stands alone so no need to watch the prior ones.

Sycamoretrees · 03/05/2020 23:37

All of the seris of Waterloo Road are on IPlayer if you fancy some binge watching.

Yester · 03/05/2020 23:41

Atypical (great characters )
13 reasons why

DarkDarkNight · 04/05/2020 00:12

I’m a couple of years older than you and my ultimate teen show was My So Called Life.

allfalldown47 · 04/05/2020 00:40

My Mad Fat Diary? It's on all4, I totally loved it, it's especially good if you're of a certain age as it's full of late 90s nostalgia and very very sweet/funny.
Definitely don't give up on sex education, it's fantastic!

allfalldown47 · 04/05/2020 00:41

@CurlyhairedAssassin End of the f**king world is brilliant! Series 2 is great too

SodaSodaBanana · 04/05/2020 07:31

Euphoria was on Sky Atlantic, it’s released by HBO.

BunnytheBee · 04/05/2020 07:35

My So Called Life was one of my favourite shows. I love Claire Danes. Not sure it’s available anywhere now.

Loved American Horror Story Coven series. Haven’t watched some of the later ones. Loved 13 Reasons Why.

Atypical is on my watch list.

Haven’t seen Umbrella Academy. I thought about it when it came out.

My Mad Fat Diary maybe.

Waterloo Road. Is that the one about the school?

TY. You have given me a lot to look at.

Try Dare Me on Netflix

doadeer · 04/05/2020 07:39

A discovery of witches is good... Not teen so much.

I found first couple episodes of sabrina a bit Meh when pregnant. Ended up trying again when baby came and I really got into it!
