Thanks for the commentary Raahh - phew - glad that Rafa won in the end Grin

Raahh · 07/06/2020 15:09

It was a relief to me, Fizzy , it really was Grin.

That seems a bit soon to be up and about!

JaneJeffer · 07/06/2020 19:15

We had a Chinese takeaway. It was so nice to eat something I didn't have to cook!

Jane we have been getting an Indian takeaway on a Friday (that we end up eating the leftovers on a Saturday as wellGrin). Since I seem to be responsible for everyone eating all week- I insist on my Friday night off!

Fizzywinegum · 07/06/2020 20:17

We had takeaway burgers on Friday - they were so nice!

DH is cooking now but is grumbling about it Hmm. I’m sure that normal service will be resumed from tomorrow.

Guess what I found whilst shopping today, for the first time in 12 weeks!

Made my day - it's the little things now, ain't it?

PrivateSpidey · 09/06/2020 23:00

Grin lol magi

Excellent news!

JaneJeffer · 09/06/2020 23:47

Grin enjoy your bread

OP posts:
kazzaD66 · 10/06/2020 08:57

Well done magi!
I love freshly baked bread. We've still got some yeast in the cupboard but I think it's way past it's use by date (as is the bread flour) so I'm not sure it's worth trying to bake with anymore Hmm

I see that Roger has had a second op on his knee and won't play again this year. His timing has always been impeccable Grin

Raahh · 10/06/2020 09:14

Well done Magi ! Grin

Kazza I saw that about Roger, and though the same Grin- I suppose it means he can avoid any speculation that should RG really go ahead, (I'm not convinced it will)he will take part. and he's still sulking about the Laver Cup clash probably.

When I saw the pictures of Rafa and Xisca cleaning their new boat , I did think about the Federer's- it's not really something I can imagine them doing . Mirka, in a Gucci apron and diamond rubber gloves, and Roger in monogrammed overalls, getting down and dirty. Wink

Although, if I had just spent 5 million Euros on a new yacht- I wouldn't really be expecting to clean it myself Grin.

magimedi · 10/06/2020 09:22

We've managed with fresh yeast, which I got from a corner shop, but it's good to have the back up of dried yeast, with a sell by date of 2022!!

(All this "I" is a bit misleading, DH has been making all our bread for the past 10 years).

Fedhas been very clever about the op, hasn't he? Can't imagine him or Mirka even getting mud on their boots!

Fizzywinegum · 10/06/2020 09:28

Yay well done on the yeast magi Grin. I would have been excited too! I now need to work my way through my flour stash Blush

I suppose it’s good that some of the tennis players are getting bits of their bodies fixed while all this is going on.

I thought that Xisca looked a bit grumpy about cleaning the yacht - definitely can’t imagine the Federers cleaning their own yacht Grin

I noticed when I did my shopping that they had lots of hand wash but they didn’t have pumps - I reckon that’s going to be the next shortage so hold onto your pumps Grin

kazzaD66 · 10/06/2020 09:34

I've got to go shopping this morning because we ran out of fresh veg on Sunday! Don't feel like it, as I have a headache that is unaffected by Anadin Extra and we keep having heavy downpours. Don't fancy queuing in the rain, so need to try to time it right Hmm

magimedi · 10/06/2020 09:38

I've given up on liquid handwash & use bar soap al lthe time. My hands are so much less dry & flaky.

I can imagine Rafa loving cleaning his yacht - I bet it is spotless!

Good luck with the shopping kazza - it's a fricking nightmare. Hope the headache goes soon, maybe the fresh air will help?

JaneJeffer · 10/06/2020 12:44

Rafa said in his book that he's very messy when he's off the tennis court which I can believe when I see him mooching in his bag for something Grin

Hope you're* feeling better kazza*

kazzaD66 · 10/06/2020 17:23

Thanks, didn't need to queue this morning and no rain either whilst I was out. Still have the headache though and now it's time to think about dinner, so as water and Anadin haven't helped, maybe a very weak G&T whilst prepping might help? For the quinine in the tonic, of course! GinWink

JaneJeffer · 10/06/2020 17:30

With an ibuprofen chaser?

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 10/06/2020 17:48

Definitely go for the G&T kazza - hope you feel better soon.

Just watching Boris - that usually makes me reach for the Gin

JaneJeffer · 10/06/2020 17:57

He doesn't look well! All I heard was bubble, bubble, bubble Grin

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 10/06/2020 18:05

He’s still not looking great is he Jane?

I need to get my head round the bubbles - it looks as if you have to choose one and then not change

kazzaD66 · 10/06/2020 19:27

Thanks all! I did go for the (very weak) G&T, which helped for a bit but now seems to have worn off Sad

Where are you Boris watching?
