Starts tonight. Looks good

When two sides of Glasgow collide when a teenage girl makes a pack with a wealthy couple

Dan and Emily live in a stunning house by the edge of a lake and have everything they ever dreamed of

Apart from a child

Years of struggling and many failed ivf

Kaya has no money or job but offers to be their surrogate

It’s quickly becomes apparent that the baby pact has a destructive effect .......

I'm guessing Hilary's house is somewhere in Bearsden or Milngavie.

CoolCarrie · 05/04/2020 22:45

I thought Doddy was dead before she had the egg transfer

CoolCarrie · 05/04/2020 22:48

Thanks Ginger. I don’t know Glasgow except the city centre, and it looks beautiful in this series.

Violetparis · 05/04/2020 22:51

I thought the same as a previous poster, that it was the Mum who killed Neve and the child got the blame.

Ginger1982 · 05/04/2020 23:01

"I thought Doddy was dead before she had the egg transfer."

Possibly...I have no idea then! But I agree that I think the mum did the murder.

MintChocAddict · 05/04/2020 23:14

I'm guessing maybe Scotstoun for Hillary's house, but equally could be Bearsden? Love a bit of TV location spotting.

SuntanC · 05/04/2020 23:45

I thought Scotstoun too @MintChocAddict. Definitely passed a few streets like that on the way to the sport centre up there.

MissEliza · 05/04/2020 23:45

My gut instinct is Kaya is a good 'un who came from an abusive background. She seems to have blossomed under Emily's care when at first I thought she was going to manipulate her.
Tonight's episode was great. I can't wait to watch next week!

sweetkitty · 05/04/2020 23:50

I thought Kaya had deliberately adopted a Glaswegian accent (watered down for the telly of course). Lewis accent would be quite distinct.

Sounds like the SWs wife/partner is a heroin addict is the wee girl his?

Grey7841 · 06/04/2020 07:26

i feel like there must be more significance to the social worker and his daughter to keep mentioning her mum

covetingthepreciousthings · 06/04/2020 08:59

Yes I think so too. If Kaya is 18, and the murder happened when she was 11, that's 7 years ago, and the girl looks about that age, so could it be the unborn baby from the murdered woman? And she survived.

SamSeabornforPresident · 06/04/2020 09:43

If it was the unborn baby from the murdered woman surely there wouldn't be so much focus on her mum because her mum is dead. I think some of the social worker's behaviour has been pretty questionable throughout, which is maybe why the child is so involved. Is she his? Fostered? It's all a bit strange. His behaviour turning up at Dan's press conference was also inappropriate.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/04/2020 14:59

So she saw him 25w ago

Is the baby his ?

Tho having done 5 transfers for ivf I would Assume the clinic would have looked

Tho saying that the embryo is tiny so prob wouldn’t show on scan if not looking for it

The tiny white dot in the middle of the black is the embroyo

Be sad for the EMILY and dan tho. No baby

And sure kaya doesn’t want to be a mum either

So hopefully bloody tests will prove baby is theirs

And yes moaning myrtle. Who did she meet at the boat

Plus

Sure kaya didn’t kill the lady. She took the blame

@blondeshavemorefun she met the journalist, originally from Lewis, who had recognised Kaya at the restaurant last week.

dottiedodah · 06/04/2020 15:27

Really good so far! gripping and well acted throughout .Really love that house!

buytheworldacoke · 06/04/2020 15:58

Bingeing this today, started slowly and while a bit far fetched it is good!

Anyone know why they focused so much on kaya's mums walking support?

covetingthepreciousthings · 06/04/2020 16:28

Anyone know why they focused so much on kaya's mums walking support?*

Yes I wondered that.

dayswithaY · 06/04/2020 16:32

Maybe the walking stick will be a clue to the real murderer. Or just a red herring to make you think that Kaya's mum couldn't be the real murderer as she's not strong enough.

I'm struggling to believe that Doddy is the baby 's father. I know nothing about IVF but surely the hospital would know if she was already pregnant. And if she was, what would happen to the embryo if it was implanted into a pregnant woman?

I think the older guy/lawyer arranged for Kaya to be killed and dumped but she survived.

covetingthepreciousthings · 06/04/2020 16:38

I'm struggling to believe that Doddy is the baby 's father. I know nothing about IVF but surely the hospital would know if she was already pregnant.

You would think that and in real life they probably would, but during the procedure apparently that was all wrong anyway due to the angle she was sat up at.. so I guess it's possible it was a dodgy clinic who didn't do everything correctly.

LizzieMacQueen · 06/04/2020 16:39

Hillary's house is definitely Scotstoun. That's Scotstoun primary school across the road.

I get distracted with the locations. Scotstoun also featured in the 'the victim' which also starred Craig Myers. Did he kill Doddie? (Haven't RTFT maybe someone suggested that?)

SamSeabornforPresident · 06/04/2020 16:51

That was NOT the Lewis ferry. (It was meant to be, but it wasn't!)

FabulouslyElegantTits · 06/04/2020 17:24

Didn't the SW mention in the first episode that Kaya has become 'obsessed' with his family and thought she was going to live with them.

Also, she went for him with a broken bottle - that was odd.

dayswithaY · 06/04/2020 18:22

She also went for Jack's previous girlfriend with a broken bottle - or tried to, outside the hotel they both worked at.

When Doddy first came face to face with Dan at the flats, I felt like they recognised each other. Maybe they are related.

Ginger1982 · 06/04/2020 19:05

Yeah, why were Kaya and the social worker fighting in the first episode when Emily hit her?

LizzieMacQueen · 06/04/2020 19:09

Do you think an 'act of God' was what killed Dan's mother, as in David Hayman's character was responsible?
