Hi cilantro the 2018 semi final you say? We were having a chat on the last thread about our favourite matches of all time, and that was one of mine - despite the result of course. I remember the relief when they came out on court - I would feel the same to see any tennis right now!

Well, I have just seen the that the Olympics have been delayed to next year. It was only a matter of time, really- but they certainly dithered over the decision.

I see the Olympics has been postponed until next year. I was reading this morning that Australia and Canada had already said they wouldn't send any athletes, so I guess the writing was on the wall once that was announced.

Looks like Roger will have to keep playing on then!

X-post Raahh. I agree about Wimbledon I hope I'm wrong but how are players going to safely travel around the world, there may still be restriction at that point. I mean, you never know but I'm not very hopeful.

I'm glad they haven't announced it's cancelled yet. It's giving me something to hope for.

They should do antasy Wimbledon- still do the draw, but just toss a coin to decide the result of each match. Or Rock paper scissors. .

I quite like Djok and Rafa. Rafa would have made GS 20 and Djok would have got the record for weeks at number one this year. It'll be interesting to see what happens once this is all over.

I wonder if it will change the mind set of some of the older players? Rafa has said he doesn't want children while he is still on the tour - maybe this lockdown will change his mind to life & he'll retire & have lots of baby Rafas?? Maybe Roger will think life at home with the family is more fun than running round the world?

Maybe Djok will love isolation so much he'll go & join a commune in Outer Mongolia? (I can hope )
