Grin

Jane I've got a job lot of stewed Bramleys in the freezer from my DSis's tree - it's a shame I can't send some to you but I doubt they'd be fit for consumption after being posted!

kazzaD66 · 30/04/2020 19:09

Jane looks like we do Grin
Most of mine is ancient. Bought it when I moved out of my parents house to my flat, so about 28 years ago. Built on the collection after marriage Grin
It's Regency Green Grin

kazzaD66 · 30/04/2020 19:11

We haven't got apples but DH pulled some rhubarb this afternoon and is in the process of making it into rhubarb gin GinGrin

Raahh · 30/04/2020 19:31

Envy I love rhubarb.

Raahh · 30/04/2020 19:32

But not custard. Hate custard. Spent years being picked on for always saying no to custard with puddings. Grin.

Fizzywinegum · 30/04/2020 19:38

Me too Raahh and combined with gin - what could be better.

The Virtual Madrid Open results are being shown on Sky Sports news as if it’s a real tournament Grin. Andy Murray beat Goffin in a tiebreak

There’s also something about Rafa on Amazon Prime for those who have access to it. I’m not quite sure what it is - I think members of my household have been keeping this information from me so that I don’t hog the television Shock

Fizzywinegum · 30/04/2020 19:39

I meant rhubarb not custard - gin and custard would be a very bad combination Envy

Raahh · 30/04/2020 19:40

Fizzy how very dare they!

I gave up on trying to watch Virtual Madrid- it kept going off, and the commentary was driving me nuts!

Raahh · 30/04/2020 19:41

Gin and custard

That might curdle a bit.

PrivateSpidey · 30/04/2020 19:52

Gin and custard Envy --> not envy!! There probably is a custard flavour gin these days Grin

Rhubarb gin sounds lovely though kazza

I'm making myself a risotto tonight - no other bugger here likes it, but they've sorted themselves out with something else. So that's good. I'm having a massive glass of wine while it's cooking and Twiglets. Joy Grin

That's funny about Sky sports Fizzy - they are obviously desperate for news! Andy seemed pretty pleased with the result anyway Grin

Raahh · 30/04/2020 19:56

Twiglets!! Twiglets Envy

It's not fair. Twiglets and rhubarb.

I will just console myself with more vodka.

Grin
kazzaD66 · 30/04/2020 20:07

Sorry, can't stand Twiglets [yuk]
Don't much like custard either Sad
Rhubarb gin is rather nice Wink

So has Andy won the tournament?

Might have to investigate Rafa on Prime. Let me know if you find out more details!

Love risotto. So many possibilities. May make a wild mushroom risotto tomorrow Smile

Fizzywinegum · 30/04/2020 20:07

Ooh enjoy your risotto Spidey - I think that’s what I miss - just cooking something for myself that only I like. Now I have to take everyone else into consideration - hence fishfingers and chips tonight Grin

Fizzywinegum · 30/04/2020 20:10

I’m planning on taking control of the TV tomorrow so will report back on the Rafa programme.

Raahh · 30/04/2020 20:16

I thought I saw that Stefanos had won the tournament? (might be wrong)

JaneJeffer · 30/04/2020 20:32

My rhubarb has failed badly. I used to have loads but this year I have two spindly stalks.

kazza my Regency Green was a wedding present so it's over 25 years old and has had a few casualties over the years.

Private yes best not to post stewed apples Grin

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 30/04/2020 20:56

I think Stefanos was knocked out by Goffin Raahh. Not sure though!

Good luck with your takeover of the TV Fizzy - please report back!

Btw I saw Petra Kvitova posted a video of her practising earlier, so I guess they must be relaxing restrictions where she is (presume Czech Rep?).

magimedi · 30/04/2020 22:50

I am about to dig the foundations for a new patio........................

Apart from that I am OK!! Gin has helped Grin

JaneJeffer · 30/04/2020 22:56

At this time of night magi? How much gin have you had? Grin

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 01/05/2020 07:43

Oh dear magi does that mean that mrmagi has been misbehaving?

Raahh · 01/05/2020 08:37

So, Andy won the Madrid thing- (no idea where I read that Stef did!).

Said he was going to get 'virtually legless' Grin

magimedi · 01/05/2020 08:39

Am feeling better this morning. We went out to clap for the NHS & mrmagi just walked right up to his mate from a few doors down & they started chatting at a distance of about 2 feet - until I intervened!!

So please dthat Andy won - may he win some real ones soon Tennis

Raahh · 01/05/2020 08:41

I can't believe it is May! We should be looking forward to RG. Sad

It's my niece's 21st on Sunday- took her present round yesterday and yelled from a safe distance (it was raining). She is a student midwife, and a bit busy at the moment, and also a bit miffed that all her big plans for her birthday have put on hold.

Raahh · 01/05/2020 08:52

oh dear MrMagi!

I must admit, the vodka knocked me out early last night (which was intentional)- good thing too, as I don't know what was going on over night, I think everyone inluding the dog was up about a dozen times, so I've been awake since 2am AngryGrin.

kazzaD66 · 01/05/2020 09:07

magi I trust you gave MrMagi a stern talking to....Wink

Andy has posted on instagram a shot of him serving underarm at the virtual Madrid Open, a la Dick Hmm
He's also posted photos of himself, Rafa, Rog and Djok as young children Grin
