Jane Grin

kazzaD66 · 22/03/2020 16:12

Grin Jane

But he's still a Cock.
And even more so after that pronouncement.

I'm now waiting for the wise words of the good Lord Roger.

Give me Stan and his instagram posts any day Grin

Raahh · 22/03/2020 16:19

kazza Oh, Roger will not be out done by that.
And anything from Rafa will be more....Rafa-ish. And use far fewer words. Grin

Raahh · 22/03/2020 16:19

Yy, Stan is winning this 'no tennis' thing, definitely.

Raahh · 22/03/2020 16:24

This is Rafa's message, thanking those on the front lines etc.

Rafa

Raahh · 22/03/2020 16:28

The thing with the Rafa message, is when I read the English transcript, I read it in his accent. In my head, obviously. Or my dc would think I was nuts. Grin.

PrivateSpidey · 22/03/2020 16:30

Jane that made me lol!! Grin

Now Rafa's message is much more like it. Strikes the right note.

I much prefer that, or Stan's suggestive lasagne Grin

PrivateSpidey · 22/03/2020 16:31

Raahh Grin me too!

Raahh · 22/03/2020 16:42

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2020 17:03

"Spaniard encourages those suffering during this pandemic" looks like Inverdale wrote that.

Jane it does doesn't it?Grin

Fizzywinegum · 22/03/2020 17:22

Aaah I like Rafa’s message - I also read it with a Spanish accent Raahh and a quizzical eyebrow Grin

Raahh · 22/03/2020 17:36

quizzical eyebrow

Grin
kazzaD66 · 22/03/2020 17:40

"Suggestive lasagne" private Grin

I'll watch Rafa later.

PrivateSpidey · 23/03/2020 08:42

kazza your reaction to Djok's post made me laugh so much Grin

Hope everyone is ok. Hoping for some more tennis player posts soon!

Fizzywinegum · 23/03/2020 08:58

Me too Spidey Grin

Good luck to everyone with DCs at home - I’ve already done some online yoga Halo (not sure how long that will last!)

magimedi · 23/03/2020 09:23

Good luck to all you new 'teahcers' with DC at home.

Just wanted to share this article that someone linked to on the Positive Mental Health thread - it's really heartening:

HERE

magimedi · 23/03/2020 09:24

PS Lucky I'm not a 'teahcer' - my typos would not be good for spelling learning!!

Grin DS1 is currently attending a lecture in the kitchen via laptop.

DS2 is very late for school.

Raahh · 23/03/2020 11:31

DD2 has done precisely one maths question, that she wrote out, in a workbook, instead of just answering in the booklet she was given.

She has been up for hours.

The laptop we got for dd1 to use...isn't working, and I have had to take it back.

So far it's all going really well.

And ds has lot his job at McDonalds.

Raahh · 23/03/2020 11:38

(well I think he has lost it, the restuarants are now closed totally, and he is on a zero hour contract). Since he left college in January, that was all he had Sad.

Fizzywinegum · 23/03/2020 11:45

Sad poor DS Raahh

I’ve just dropped DS2 off at JD Sports for work - don’t think they’ll be open after today. It was like a ghost town in town which is good I suppose.

Just picked up a prescription and that’s me inside for a good while apart from my daily walk.

Supermarkets are recruiting and I think they’re taking on under 18s - could that be an option for your DS?

kazzaD66 · 23/03/2020 11:45

Sorry about your DS's job Raahh

DS is on his third lesson of the day, although the digital platform the school uses keeps crashing Hmm

Each year group does games on a different afternoon, 2-4pm. DS is a Monday afternoon. The head of academic PE sent an email to all pupils this morning, alerting them to a video he has posted on the school YouTube channel (which I was unaware existed!). He is live streaming fitness sessions every day at 2pm for pupils to follow and encourages others in the family, including parents, to join in Hmm Grin

Raahh · 23/03/2020 11:51

Trouble with ds( and he has been a nightmare)is he isn't very motivated at all by much - I do hope he will try and look for something.

JaneJeffer · 23/03/2020 12:10

That's awful Raahh. DS1 still has his weekend job for now but they depend on export so I don't know what will happen. I felt such a sense of unreality this morning as if I'm living in a weird dream. Felt better after my shower.
