Poor Rafa - yes it looked as if he was holding it the wrong way round - he is left handed though (or is that just for tennis?) or maybe he’s just not used to holding a mixer

I’ve managed to find some SR flour so will be able to make DH a cake without using biscuits - not sure I’d be asking Rafa to do the mixing though

Poor Rafa, I bet he is bored silly without tennis- (as are we) I wonder what Xisca thinks? I know I'm fed up with dh under foot all the time. (I might think differently if my dh was Rafa, and we lived in a mansion though.).

Cake is in the oven - I’m still intrigued by the bisquit cake though - I might attempt it one day. I think I’m handier with the mixer than Rafa although our plug socket is in a bit of an awkward position so I did have to hold it at a bit of a strange angle!

I have just been out with the dog (who is still not quite 100% but much better), and it is sunny but freezing cold. Something I failed to realise as I merrily left the house without a coat.

Did you manage to get to see avet with the dog, Raahh?

Have just done my weekly shop & it was good. Everything I wanted & no long queues. And I saw the sea, which made me very happy!

We have an appointment tomorrow morning, Magi, not ideal, but better than nothing. Have been giving him lots of weetabix (the vet who used to work at the practice advised it on a previous occasion). At least he's sleeping a bit better.

I have now got to the point where I have not been to a shop for about 3 weeks (dh has been doing the shoppng), and I had to try the car out yesterday to make sure the battery wasn't flat ! (Didn't go anywhere, just sat on the drive, with dog).

That’s good about the shopping magi - things do seem to have settled down now. I don’t mind queuing for a bit if it means less people in the shop.

Dd1 made a cake last week- only down side was we had nothing to fill it, so it was a victoria sponge, with nothing in the middle . (She doesn't like butter cream).
