DS1 has just informed me that last year’s French Open final has just started on Eurosport (he’s a good son Smile)

I wonder who will win? Grin

JaneJeffer · 04/04/2020 10:23

I think I'll put some money on Rafa.

OP posts:
Raahh · 04/04/2020 10:26

ooh, I do like a match when I know who Rafa will win.

Grin

It's a pity we can't have interactive matches, so we can decide the outcomes. that would be fun.

Fizzywinegum · 04/04/2020 10:45

Grin Jane

That would be good Raahh

I’ve just had a quick look at the match - I’d forgotten about Rafa’s short (and tight!) shorts and Domi’s hair was so much better without the weird frosting!

magimedi · 04/04/2020 11:00

Morning! Lovely day here. Done some cooking & cleaned the kitchen & am about to go for a walk.

Funny one last night - I was standing by the kitchen sink, looking south, & yelled to DH:

"Quick, quick come & look at this!"

It was a jet trail (& plane) the first I've seen for about a week! We did laugh at ourselves.

PrivateSpidey · 04/04/2020 12:58

magi Grin strange times. I was out in the garden last night bringing the washing in, and it was completely silent, it was so weird. Well, it was quiet until the bloody wood pigeons started up anyway Hmm

I missed Rafa v Domi. I noticed Eurosport was showing the Aus Open yesterday as well, so at least there's something on. Albeit not live.

I can't remember the last real live tennis I watched. Rafa in Mexico maybe?? Sad

Jane so funny & so very sad at the same time.

I love Judy Murray.

Bedtime - which has now become my fave time of day - eats up a few more hours until I can go to France!

Raahh · 05/04/2020 09:25

Jane I think I need to move to Glasgow. That is much more my style than rainbows.

I love Judy too.

Looks like it is going to be a lovely day here, I really should cut the grass. Not yet though. Too early.

Fizzywinegum · 05/04/2020 09:34

Raahh according to Mumsnet no grass cutting before 10am on a Sunday Grin

magi Flowers

Must admit I prefer the Glasgow sign to all the rainbows as well. I read that some people are putting bears in their windows for children to see on their daily walks Bear

The weather’s nice here but a bit windy - might do some gardening in a bit.

Have a good day everyone Smile

Raahh · 05/04/2020 09:43

Fizzy it is so quiet around here, (and I live on an estate not the middle of nowhere)I feel any time is too early at the moment.

And in the immortal words of Morrisey, 'Every day is like Sunday' . Grin.

But after tomorrow, they won't be collecting the green bins- so I feel it is my last chance (and the grass is really long.)

Not sure the mower works to be honest. It's rained non-stop since I last used it sometime in September Grin

Raahh · 05/04/2020 09:44

Bears! Now that explains something then- I saw two houses with teddy bears stuck to the bedroom windows yesterday when i took the dog out! It did make me smile. Bear

Fizzywinegum · 05/04/2020 09:56

It’s quiet here atm Raahh - there are usually children on trampolines but they’re not out yet. My DSs were wishing we’d kept out trampoline but I think they might be a bit big now Grin

I agree with you and Morrissey ‘every day is like Sunday’ ...

Our green bin collection stopped last week (just after we’d filled it Hmm) - not sure if/when it’s going to resume.

It’s good to see that Stan’s influence is spreading far and wide Bear. I’ve not seen any bears yet - I think I read about it in the paper.

magimedi · 05/04/2020 10:03

I also live on an estate & lots of windows have teddy bears, dinasours & drawings in them. Lovely to see them every day.

Need a kick up the bum to get going today - feel a bit lethargic. Will finish my coffee & get going. (Am going to sip it s l o w l y.......)

Fizzywinegum · 05/04/2020 10:16

On our road someone had drawn a hopscotch and written ‘free hopscotch’ next to it - that made me smile

Stan’s instagram is getting more and more weird - I think self isolation is getting to him!

PrivateSpidey · 05/04/2020 10:34

Grin I saw Stan's latest post - he seems to be well stocked up with champers! l

Good luck with your grass cutting Raahh. I've got some plants to put in today. All well and good... but I might start losing enthusiasm soon. I think I'd rather have been watching the Miami final which would have been today I think.

JaneJeffer · 05/04/2020 12:17

Stay strong magi. Here's some wise words from Rafa I found in my photos.

DH did the shopping so I'm off to disinfect everything!

DS1's girlfriend's grandparents found out yesterday that their carer has tested positive. They were being really careful and not letting anyone else in the house Sad

Raahh · 05/04/2020 12:18

Oh Jane Sad I hope they are ok.

Wise word indeed from Rafa. Which I again spoke in a bad Spanish accent. In my head.

magimedi · 05/04/2020 12:20

Have got going & cleaned the bathrooms & had a walk & feel much better. I just need to get going in the mornings & not faff.

Jane I do hope they are OK - very worrying.

SentimentalKiller · 05/04/2020 12:21

Every cloud has a silver lining. I hate tennis Grin 🎾

JaneJeffer · 05/04/2020 12:25

Nice of you to pop by Sentimental. I suggest you don't watch it then.

Hmm
Fizzywinegum · 05/04/2020 13:08

Wise words Rafa!

Oh Jane that must be worrying - hope they are all ok Flowers

Yeah thanks for that Sentimental - very helpful Hmm

I’ve done some ironing Shock! The nice weather has not quite materialised here - it’s very windy. In further exciting news I also cleaned the filter from my Dyson - it was minging Grin

SentimentalKiller · 05/04/2020 14:33

GrinGrinI'll go where I like thanks
