Good sense of humour kazza - or whatever you want it to mean Grin

magimedi · 02/04/2020 22:29

My GSOH is going out the window at Mach 1 speed if any one thinks I have the hots for Stan.

Porcine, porcine, porcine - I have never shagged a pig!!

Have had wine & am of to bed with my lovely DH who does not resemble Stan in the slightest - think of a young Charles Dance, when I met him (DH) - Jewel in the Crown was the best thing on TV.

kazzaD66 · 02/04/2020 22:33

JaneJeffer · 02/04/2020 22:42

Aaah I’m thinking of magi and her Charles Dance look a like DH Smile. I’m glad to hear you’ve never shagged a pig though Grin

I braved the supermarket this morning - had to get some things for my DM - not sure if she will be happy with them but hey ho! Managed to get flour, pasta and loo rolls Shock. The shops seem to be getting busier though - there was a queue already at 7.45am.

Hope everyone is Ok

PrivateSpidey · 03/04/2020 12:04

Aw magi! Smile

I love Charles Dance btw - great actor, and I'd say he's even better looking than Stan! Grin

Glad your shopping went ok Fizzy. It does seem to be settling down now, touch wood. I've just booked a click and collect order to pick up tomorrow - including a fair bit of chocolate and wine Blush But it's still nearly Easter, have to keep to the norm as much as poss!

Hope everyone is doing ok.

I'm dreading having to go to Waitrose again after last Friday's experience! Trying to eke everything out until Monday, rather than going over the weekend. Will have to see what my dad needs aswell.

Magi you're making me smile. Does your DH know he's being discussed on here Grin
I'm also glad to hear you have never had improper relations with a pig! Which has reminded me, I think I'll have a bacon sarnie for lunch because it should have been used a couple of days ago Grin

I've just received an email from the LTA. They are going to stream a Queens final on their FB page on Sunday and they want people to vote which one they would like to see. Choices are -

Murray's first title vs James Blake 2009
Sampras beating Tiger Tim 1999
Murray's 5th title vs Raonic 2016

Can't believe Pete vs Tim was 21 years ago Confused

Raahh · 03/04/2020 13:12

Magi Grin

I don't think I could watch Murray vs Raonic again, ever. I was gutted for Milos. He really threw that match away.

I have just been walking the dog, and am getting ever more conscious of how stupid some people are. I have never come across so many off the lead dogs- and owners who can't control them, so social distancing goes out of the window.

I have a couple of Easter eggs each for the dc, as I bought them a while back, I think Tesco had them on offer.

I am so bored today. There are things I could do. I just don't want to Grin.

JaneJeffer · 03/04/2020 14:48

I definitely wouldn't want to watch Sampras. Ugh.

Raahh · 03/04/2020 14:49

Jane no. That flobby tongue. Grin

JaneJeffer · 03/04/2020 14:56

I'm watching James Martin making parkin and saying to leave it for five days before eating. Wouldn't last five minutes here! I made a chocolate cake with beetroot juice yesterday. I felt like Letitia Cropley Grin

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 03/04/2020 15:11

Jane Grin. Who is Letitia Cropley? DS2 is about to make a banana cake - I’m trying not to interfere but it’s hard. I’ve already told him how long I stood in the supermarket queue to buy the ingredients!

I think I actually stopped watching tennis when Pete Sampras was playing!

PrivateSpidey · 03/04/2020 15:23

Letitia Cropley Grin
Love it Jane! Now I feel like watching some Vicar of Dibley... The Easter special maybe!

Raahh I know what you mean, I can't get motivated and anything I do seems to take ages Hmm mind you that's fairly standard for me!

Of those Queens finals, well I can definitely think of better ones but of those I would choose Murray v Blake I think.

JaneJeffer · 03/04/2020 15:25

Fizzy she was a character on The Vicar of Dibley who made weird cakes with parsnips and all sorts. Played by Liz Smith (nana from The Royle Family).

OP posts:
Fizzywinegum · 03/04/2020 15:27

Oh I loved Liz Smith Smile Parsnip cake is quite nice Grin

PrivateSpidey · 03/04/2020 15:28

Fizzy yes the Sampras/Courier years were pretty dull weren't they? Although Andre did liven things up when he was around, other than that it was pretty yawnsville.

We are making banana bread today as well! Got loads of bananas to use up. Hope your DS does a good job after you braved the supermarket for the ingredients!!

Fizzywinegum · 03/04/2020 15:31

We'll see Private Grin. I once made one with chocolate chips in but can’t seem to find the recipe Hmm

I came across this on Twitter Grin

OP posts:
PrivateSpidey · 03/04/2020 20:33
Grin Just after I looked at that, the next post on my twitter feed was Netflix saying they are showing the Vicar of Dibley, starting on Monday Shock. V coincidental!

How was the banana bread Fizzy?

JaneJeffer · 03/04/2020 20:47

Well I did read today that google are using location to check whether people are staying at home so they're probably spying on everything else as well Shock

All round to Stan's for the weekend?

Novak made a donation to Rafa's charity thing.

OP posts:

Stan Grin

Oh that's nice of Novak. I think. Grin

Fizzywinegum · 03/04/2020 22:09

I’m round to Stan’s for BBQ and cocktails Grin

The banana bread was surprisingly successful Spidey (I should have more faith!)

Well done to Novak - has he given up on world peace now?
