I'm getting used to no school now. DS2 is happy as Larry at home but he's missing his football. DS1 has work today so that's good.

Thanks for the Sky tip Fizzy I'll check it out. They get far too much money off us anyway!

Fizzy believe me, if it wasn't for the fact that I hadn't shopped for over a week and that I had to get stuff for dad, who last shopped about 11 days ago - and the sun was shining - I wouldn't have queued for that long! It was Waitrose. The nearest Tesco, Sainsbury etc are all about 25 minutes drive away and the only other option is a very tiny Co-Op. I live in a village (with no shop) so have to drive to the nearest town to shop for anything. It's a lovely old market town but small, so choices are limited.

I've just had an email from my hairdresser to reschedule my next cut. I had a booking for end of April but now have rescheduled for 9th July! That will be four months since my last cut. Heaven knows what it will look like by then. Shock Thank goodness I'm not due a colour aswell Grin

Grin My French is rubbish, I can't understand much of what they are saying Sad

I like how Benoit brought some snacks to the party Grin

PrivateSpidey · 27/03/2020 20:00

DH just came into the kitchen and wanted to know who I was talking to on Skype Grin

Oh just Stan and Ben Grin

Oh I missed Stan and Benoit’s drink on Instagram - it sounded fun! Smile

DH has suggested a game of Cluedo later - can’t see that going well Hmm

Hope everyone is Ok

magimedi · 28/03/2020 11:58

Fine, thanks Fizzy.. Having a cook-a-thon this morning. Rhubarb compote, stewed apples & making a curry base (& then chicken & potato curry) as lovely neighbour found me some root ginger. I whizz it up with onions & garlic to a puree & freeze so it's quick & easy base for making curry.

JaneJeffer · 28/03/2020 12:08

Hope it doesn't turn into real life Cluedo Fizzy Grin

Sounds yummy magi

Jane I’m feeling that tensions are already running high as it’s the first time we’ve all been in the house together as DH has still been going into work.

There are still rumblings about my alleged Cluedo cheating from about ten years ago! (I just got a lucky guess right - that’s my defence anyway Grin)

PrivateSpidey · 28/03/2020 12:16

Grin Jane

I love Cluedo. Good luck Fizzy!

Your cooking sounds lovely magi. I'm making some banana bread later, not sure about dinner yet.

It's Stan's birthday today Cake

Raahh · 28/03/2020 12:20

That sounds lovely magi

It is StanBear's birthday today, 35 years young.
CakeWine

I wonder if he has an instagram party planned? (with Cakeand Wine, maybe invite all his Bear friends).

Raahh · 28/03/2020 12:21

x post Grin

kazzaD66 · 28/03/2020 12:50

Happy birthday Stan CakeWine
I can picture him sitting at home with a bottle of wine, cheese fondue and a bunch of bears Bear

I used to love Cluedo when I was growing up fizzy
Don't know if I have it or my brother took it with him when we left home.

On a similar theme, did anyone watch that celebrity murder mystery thing on Channel 5 last night? I recorded it and saw about the first hour back. Think it concludes tonight. It's got John Sargent in it, who is always good value, I love his voice. I also enjoyed his autobiography many moons ago.

Fizzywinegum · 28/03/2020 13:23

Happy birthday Stan WineCakeBear - I’m sure that wine, fondue and bears will be involved somewhere. I bet he’s got the HouseParty app (I’ve resisted so far!)

I didn’t see the celebrity murder mystery programme kazza - I might save it for a rainy day Grin. I like John Sargent on Strictly.

All the cooking sounds good - I managed to find a whole chicken in the supermarket yesterday Shock so I’m doing Sunday dinner tomorrow. Can’t see it becoming a Mumsnet chicken though as we’re a greedy lot Grin

PrivateSpidey · 28/03/2020 18:47

I see Delpo is also wondering what to do with his hair Grin he's rocking a kind of Hot Robinson Crusoe look atm sorry I have cabin fever

kazza thanks for the murder mystery tip off - will see if I can get the first part on catch up.

Fizzy we managed to get a chicken as well! Yippee!! Got to be happy with that. We should get Monday's tea out of it as well as there's only the three of us.

PrivateSpidey · 28/03/2020 18:49

Although having said that, everyone is always mooching around looking for food so it might not go as far as I think! Hmm

Fizzywinegum · 28/03/2020 19:31

I know Spidey I keep hearing the DSs foraging in the fridge and fear the worst!

I’ll check out Delpos’s Robinson Crusoe look - I’m sure he’d look good with any hairstyle Grin

Has Stan done anything exciting on his instagram?

kazzaD66 · 28/03/2020 19:44

Stan has a great slide down to his fitness area Grin
