Race Across the World series 2

I loved this show last year and was very excited to see a trailer yesterday that seemed to show series 2 was coming soon and was located in the Americas? But Googling it has revealed absolutely nothing! I thought I'd start this thread so that fellow fans have a place to comment when we have more info.

If it is the Americas, it will stop the contestants just copying last year's journeys, although I must admit I think the Europe/Asia route will prove more interesting as there's such a great variation in cultures as you travel east. But I don't know much about South America so looking forward to being wrong, and I'm sure it will be just as exciting as the last series. It'll be the people that make it - loved Darron and Alex from last year and their changing relationship/bond!

Lizzie has been doing the 'Ski Season' in Austria. She flew over to film the reunion episode.

To be fair even Jen was poking fun at herself in the interview- didn’t she say there were three of us in our race, Jen, Rob and checkpoint Jen!

These episodes looking over the series are always full of repetition like that

I loved the catch up episode. Jen is fabulous. Love her - she takes the mickey out of herself, & knows herself very well. But tbh I loved all the couples.

BBC if you are reading this please don’t do a celebrity one. I’ve no interest in watching celebs patting themselves on the back & thinking of the cameras the while time. Much rather watch ordinary people.

Not going to lie, shed a tear for Jo last night. She is an amazing mum and all round great person, she's really inspired me with her whole attitude. Loved Sam too, such a grafter and so kind.

I loved Jen and Rob. They reminded me a bit of me and DP as DP has also recently lost most of his hearing etc. But we're definitely less dramatic thankfully

Lizzie and Dom were entitled immature brats, I really feel sorry for their parents because I don't think they really developed as people. Lizzie was horrendous when Dom collapsed!

Eamon and Jamil grew on me, didn't think they'd make it at the start. They seemed lovely on the catch up episode, having a laugh with Jen etc.

Not surprised Shuntelle and Michael split.

Looking back at the way Jen gazes at Rob (when they were dancing), her love for him just shines

Agree Re backstories.
Series one, two lots of friends who liked each other, one set of very old friends who didn't seen too much, a married couple replaced a married couple who had no sig issues and the Dad and son who weren't close. That was actually enough variety.

Series two was all difficult relationships. It isn't needed.

DH and I wouldn't go on together cos we'd end up divorced. We live each other but he'd be laid back and I'd be super planning but also competitive and his lack of decision making would drive me potty.

I liked it in the reunion episode where they all teased Rob about wearing a shirt as if he was off to a job interview 😆.

And Jen came across really well, I thought, with the way she was responding to everyone else's stories. She still isn't over coming such a close second though!

Did anyone hear how much money Liz and Dom ended up with? I think Emon & Jamiul had about £3, and Jen & Rob £45??

Yes I bet Jen’s hair is lovely down too. Up it was a bit “Princess Anne”. I’d have looked awful with it.

If anyone would like to know more about the filming, Jen and rob did an Instagram live last night which is still on her @Jennalambrastokes profile, it's a Q&A session with Rob. I stand by the fact that she's utterly normal and most people would react to stressful situations in a way that makes you annoying to people watching you and not knowing all the facts!
