Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

They forget they have dogs for years, until they need a big end of life drama. I think Emma made the right decision, it's a hard decision, the worst (and in a way the best).

We were just talking a few weeks ago about how old eccles must be. Own up- who is the Corrie mole?

In that situation I’m sure the vet/receptionist would’ve cut in and said there was nothing that could’ve been done and that it wasn’t Emma’s fault. I can’t believe even Ken turned his back on her. He dumped his dog a few weeks ago anyway.

It seems weird that they were going to kill off Eccles anyway but didn’t let her go peacefully a few weeks ago when ken was saying goodbye to her. That would have been a far better send off for her. I suppose they needed her to trigger whatever Emma does next.

Emma’s a good actress, she genuinely looked distressed throughout those scenes.

Eccles is ancient! He was around when Deidre was in it.

So much for Steve treating Emma as his daughter, he wasn't kind either.

Steve was more worried about Rover and Tracey than poor Emma.

Yes so much for Steve forcing his way into her life when she was clearly reluctant to accept her new father. Saying he wanted to be her dad. That didn’t last long.

I thought he stuck up for her. Although the “you can go home now” wasn’t nice.

Weird question... How many here would let Tracey speak to them the way she speaks to people on the street? She'd be pushed under the bus by now.

Tracey’s biting wit is usually well timed and appropriate. But they’re really wide of the mark with what she’s doing to Emma. (Ken has just lost his dog and the last time he was that upset was when he couldn’t get his shampoo on sale? really? That’s such a shit joke. Who wrote that?) And they’ve even changed Kens character to allow the demise of Emma. No way would ken blame Emma or tolerate Tracey abusing her like she is. It’s so out of character. I’m sure they could have worked in a break down for Emma without going so far off the page! On everyone else’s characters.

Emma is out of order demanding that Seb leave and then chucking his stuff out.

I really didn't like the way Emma threw Seb's stuff out of the window. She was the one who asked Alina to live there anyway. She's getting on my nerves now.

I think that’s what they’re doing. I reckon the actress has said she’s leaving and they’ve had to put together this rubbish storyline to get her out.

I hope Emma doesn't leave, she is nice. Hardly anyone is nice! Poor Oliver, will Summer get the blame?

I hope Emma doesn’t leave. She is lovely. But I wouldn’t blame the actress if she does. It can’t feel very much like living the dream turning up and having to act out these terrible scripts every day. The show has gone to the dogs.

Apart from Ken slipping in a couple of lengths Morris was talking about polishing his helmet!!

I just could not stand Gemma’s gormless face with her mouth gaping open tonight so fast forwarded all her scenes - they want us to care about her, but the character is too unlikeable for me to be bothered what happens.

Oliver - epilepsy? And he will go to the medical centre and get the right medication right away and it will be never mentioned again. Although David has epilepsy so not sure they would make it epilepsy.

Yeah, they've shot themselves in the foot with the Gemma storyline. It would be such a valuable and relatable storyline, if not for such an annoying character.
Corrie has lost the plot a bit. Once the Geoff and Yasmeen story is finished, it's game over.
I hope Emma will be ok.
