Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

I can't imagine being Ken Barlow - or more specifically, the actor who plays him - and staying in the same role for the whole of my acting career. Talk about a lack of ambition!

What's going on? Dev did some half decent acting again

That was my thought too. Hes usually just a pain. In the arse with no story line but his scene with David & then particularly the scene with Aisha at the end were really unlike him. He came across well as a devastated Dad

Dev used to be an awful actor, gurning, making weird ho hum noises etc but he does seem to have calmed down.
Bellowing at his daughter for what she'd done when he first went in her bedroom was awful. He knew she had body image problems (after the skin bleaching) and was horrible. She was heartbroken.
At least he came back in and had calmed down a bit.

The phone went... can anyone tell me what Geoff was offering to pay for with his son? Was it the wedding dress?

And why was he there, where has he been?

I meant I missed the Geoff bit because the phone went...

Tim was talking to him about wanting to buy the wedding dress and saying he’d sell the horse (I thought he already had. Why has he still got it? Horses cost a fortune to keep,I know, I’ve got two!). I think Geoff offered to help but can’t remember what Tom said.

Tim accepted after the obligatory 'oh I couldn't possibly's and 'shouldn't you speak to yasmeen'.

Dev was so awful to Asha when he first spoke to her :(

Bit bloody cheeky of Ken - I'll still sell you the house but I'll be living here whether you like it or not.

In fairness to Ken, he's accommodated so many of the family on an ad hoc and ongoing basis over the years that I think he's entitled to expect to move back in!

He's going to be the new Blanche in the front room.

Where is all Ken's stuff? he left Claudia with 1 small hold-all. He's lived in that house for donkeys years. Remember all his books

Perhaps he will move to a flat in the street

Why didn't Tracey take down Ken's wallpaper?

Would have been my first job!

Wasn't Tracey's daughter doing mood boards and that sort of stuff and they were deciding on it?!

Anyone see the bits about the yasmeen and Jeff storyline for the next episodes??

Tried to avoid it Ineedwine1, but some prattish news site put it on their headlines! I shall keep quiet here though until the episodes have been aired!

I can't imagine they are going to keep on with any storylines there with only those two...

What the sagey/gold/dark paisley wallpaper ? I love it . It doesn't go with the sofa but it isn't awful .

Didn't Tim say something about Geoff being "loaded" and was buying the wedding dress? Or did I dream that ?

Sally should pocket the £2000 and buy something £50 from M&S ( 'cos Tim won't know the difference) put away a stash of money to get her ducks in a row etc.
