Just seen that my post was 999, so though I should open a new one. Not meaning to tread on anyone's toes - except Gary/Ryan/Geoff etc.

She’s terrified that he’ll know she’s lying so she tells the truth to avoid worse consequences later. She has no idea if he already knew Aliyah had been there or not. My ex used to set me up to see if I would lie to him or tell the truth. It became clear to me very quickly that I was better of always telling him the truth regardless because I could never tell what he already knew or what was a trick.

I want to reach into the TV and take Yasmeen out.

He would regularly leave me alone with his friends and then quiz me on what we’d discussed and what had happened while he was gone. I knew he’d check with them later. Or had been spying on us from somewhere. One time his friend was really drunk and tried it on with me. I felt sick as he was doing it because I knew I had to tell my ex. So I did and he beat him up really badly infront of me. It was awful. I felt so guilty.

Btw the reason I had to tell him was I had no idea if he had arranged with his mate to try it on or not. If he had and I didn’t tell him I’d have had the beating instead.

Geoff was very accurate tonight. I felt quite frightened when he threw the dinner on the floor and wanted to cry when poor Yaseem was trying to scrape it all up

It is accurate, for sure. Men who drop or throw dinners never clean them up. Their wives do.

I do find it very difficult to watch (the Yasmeen/Geoff storyline) - to the point where I can’t actually watch and fast forward though it. I guess that means they’re doing a good job portraying it, but I still can’t bear it. I hope they bring this to a conclusion soon.

I'm surprised at Tim, who seems a decent enough bloke, doesn't appear to have an opinion on his dad or warn Yasmeen. Surely IRL he'd have witnessed his behaviour in the past to at least voice his concerns to Sally and/or Yasmeen?

Tim was probably manipulated into believing his mum was the problem.

I'm surprised Aaliyah hasn't asked Tim for support and mentioned to him the Cypress move.

You’d think she’d be discussing her worries with everyone- especially Gail and Eileen who have had their own concerns and are her friends.

Yasmeen surely is going to see sense sooner or later.

Poor Yasmeen is an utter shell. She looks so frail and weak.

Emma is just so lovely. How can she be Steve Macdonalds daughter?? She must get it all from Fiona.

Steve isn't all bad, but he has had no part in her upbringing.

No he’s definitely not all bad and I don’t think he has ever been intentionally hurtful to anyone but all his cheating and silly antics that caused pain etc is a far cry from Emma. My ex has had no input in bringing up our DC but there are definitely some of his personality traits and mannerisms in both of them. It’s quite haunting sometimes when I see one one them doing something exactly like he did.

Gemma although I’m glad they’re doing this storyline (wish it wasn’t mixed in with the Geoff stuff though- spread them out!)

I like how they told everyone at the beginning of the programme to remember that they couldn’t go to the pub just because people in Corrie were!
